No fast travel. The guides system is perfect and immersive.

Find weight artifacts+ weird water and later exoskeleton and you have all the loot goblin power you need.

You get guides when you get further in game but it will cost you to use them, also as you progress the story more shortcut areas will be unlocked so its not really that bad

for example in wildisland thier is a train car blocking a route across the water, the door of it will be open when you reach the wild island point of the story

guides aren't really considered fast travel. i should be able to fast travel from my map like skyrim. i shouldnt have to walk 1k to the nearest guide from where i am to fast travel. Stupid feature. And its worse when you are over your weight limit and have to walk all that way to town where the guides are. Like what the hell. Put some guides outside the town areas then too so it makes more sense and convenient.

Nonono no fast travel, thats a great game design to run from right edge of the map to center to take quest that'll lead you to bottom-left edge of the map to kill a couple of guys and they run 2 kilometers north to take quest that'll ask you to run another 2 kilometers and another 2 kilometers. Yeeeeeeeeeeea.
This game definitely needs fast travel, atleast like in Call of Pripyat. But i'd say this game needs something like Dying Light shelters with ability to fast travel between them.

guides are useless in this game. Call of Pripyat had good fast travel systems. Guides were working well in SoC and CS. These guides are useless.
And stamina is pointless. If i'm overweighted, just make me run slower or not being able to run. Whats the point of stamina? Drink energy drinks and water every 5 seconds? Wow, i like that

I like travel the way it is. Makes inventory management feel more impactful. Only thing i would change is energy drinks dont give you a big enough stamina regen rate and not for long enough either.

There is via Guides. There are optional mods you can download to give yourself even more fast travel.

Geez...I've never played a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game before, and even I would hate the idea of a Skyrim-esqe fast travel system in this.

Then don't carry more then you need. Thier is Yellow boxes in the each base that will hold your stuff, I'm not talking seperate inventory boxes either, the yellow box holes the same loot you put into another base yellow box so you can access it no matter where you are in game at the nearest base

What was fast travel like in CoP? I can't remember.

That is what im talking about. Im overload and sooo far away from the town that is just paintfull. This kind of immersion was fun in first Stalker where maps was very ok size for me. I think the map in SOC was the most ok. Something about this map in Stlaker 2 is generic and boring. There are fun places but most feel the same and be 20 hour of gameplay is boring.

If there is mod add fast travel- link it. i would really thankfull.

sounds like Chernobylite is more up some of these people's alley.

Its not even about overload. For real. You will get to that point of the game, when THE PERFECT AND IMMERSIVE guides will disappear via plot things and you'll run straight for kilometers on your own.
Overload is a bad economy thing i'd say. There are tons of grenades, vodka, ammo everywhere, bad guns that you should take and sell to have some money. Quests worth nothing, artifacts - also. Thats just stupid. In CoP main money things were quests and artifacts. And prices were lower af

Stalker groups everywhere that's staying or moving to some place and you can go with them or ask them to lead you to some location.
