Man, you sure are lucky. I spemt 3 hours scum saving there and no luck. haha
yea, thats what I did, go to the lights and all. oh well, will try again when my mood hits me. haha
Nah, I am doing great at the moment, got over 300k cash in hand, got the liquid rock, the weird ball and the hypercube, I think I'm good. Not even the bloodsuckers are a big problem now. :)
You can actually go to zaton , kordon & swamps even before opening the way to garbage as there is a small passage thro swampy area just east of lesser zone[east of the monolithina trader]. I stumbled upon it on it by acciden but it is tottaly safe to go there.
Yea, I am in full exploration mode now since money ain't a problem. So yea, I found those swampy areas that let you get to certain zones. hehe
BTW, during night time, do you guys even turn on the flash light?
Oh yeah. It's pitch black without it. But it's like using the pip boy light in FNV/F4, it will obviously give you away if you are trying to be sneaky. I really wish they implemented NVG's into the game. Considering that there are stalkers/military wearing NVG gear and the previous games had that available either as upgrades, or were included with certain suits.
Yea, I was really puzzled by why there arent any NV or Thermal goggles in the game because IIRC. the old stalker games has them.
to the light, I find that turning it off makes me see better. With the light on, it darkens the surrounding area by a lot, so I normally turned it off during outside night time exploration.
yea, same as me then. but damn, NV goggles sure would be handy though
From some research, and first-hand testing, the artifacts protection values are broken for now.
Also, in comparison with armor that has 5 bars of various protection values, the artifacts cannot extend the protection values past the 4 bars.
So a maximum physical protection artifact is equivalent to wearing a suit that has 4 bars of physical protection. If your suit already has 4 bars, or beyond, wearing such an artifact is simply wasting a slot, because it will have no effect.
I did some in-game testing. I used the SSP-99 Ecologist suit, which is one of the lowest rated for physical protection. Mine was fully upgrade, with 1.1 bars of physical protection.
I tested by throwing an F-1 Grenade at my feet, and seeing the result on my health.
1. without any artifacts.
= lost about 95% health.
2. with a Compass artifact (max physical protect.)
= loss about 15% of my health
3. with a Crown artifact (weak physical protect.)
= loss about 15% of my health
Conclusion so far (need to test with more artifacts, more suits);
any artifact with "weak physical protection" will max out your physical protection, equivalent to 4 bars.
So, either...
... wear a suit with low physical protection, and equip a cheap artifact.
or
... wear a suit with 4 or more physical protection, and don't bother with physical protection artifacts.
:)
yea, well, I am to the far left of the map near this school. so not sure when I will get bored enough to go to the fire whirly anomaly again. LOL
I was able to withstand 3-4 punches from Pseudogiant while wearing the Compass (in mission when you need to eacappe from SIRCCA). But then i decided to take it off and die instantly from a single hit.
