Psi Anomalies
Is it just me or are these absolute BS in this game?

Here is my gripe with them. Unlike previous games there are no visual cues/symbols on the HUD to warn you whats going on so actually realizing you are in one is 95% of the time to little to late. In previous games they were spotable, here you can only spot them if you are standing still, pretty much know its there, and looks for some weird visual distortions going on. You used to take damage if you got close and a lot of damage real fast if you got even closer without protection, but they felt balanced. If you would leave the source the damage would go away and that would be it.
But lets observe them here. You enter it without protection, depending on the severity of the source you start taking damage...ok...stay a bit more enemies with guns start spawning which arent illusions but actually damage you (ok, wtf does that have to do with psi anomalies). Kill one withing a few seconds a new one spawns close to you (ah but don't forget enemies have aim-bot in this game so no cover you are fcked on higher difficulties). Lets continue....you stay a bit longer now phantoms start spawning which also damage you but dissapear after a hit...ok we have seen that before thats ok. Phantom artifacts if you try hunting in one of those locations which dissapear when you try to pick it up... You leave the area... the effect persists FOR A FEW MINUTES.
Consequences of entering one is no visual cue only a weird audio cue which doesn't let you know if its an area anomaly or a psi mutant, makes you deaf, damage, damage to armor, loss of resources and nothing in return (the game has rigid economy but I find its okay but damn do these anomalies drain you). You literally cant even loot the enemies that spawn.
Why the hell is a psyche anomaly which fries your brain all of a sudden able to spawn soldiers which can physically damage you and your armor and are unavoidable even after leaving the area. God forbid you have to explore one such area and don't have psi block which is somewhat rare for the most part of the game.
These anomalies are absurdly over-tuned compared to all others. Remove the soldiers and they are fine. The other gimmicks make up for them more than enough and they don't put an additional strain on your inventory like repair costs, ammo, and consumables like bandages and med kits to survive. When going in to one of those anomalies you don't want to take an anomaly suit with you...no, here you need to take heavy body armor (exo if possible) and rock some protection artifacts since the ghost soldiers will kill you faster than the rest of the anomaly... and no artifacts as far as I have seen give protection against psi so no luck there either (!?).
What do you guys think?

Skill Issue.

Sounds and visual effects play as your psi is damaged. I have managed to learn to recognize these and take them as the cue to RUN AWAY, and either prepare and re-enter, or leave and go do something else.
