New update bricking PC

The new update that came out 1.03 bricks my entire PC when I start up the game and have to restart my whole system I can’t play the game anymore

press restart in windows it will ask if you want to close out of the processes hit cancel, stalker should exit out and you left with no background programs running. Since this new patch I also get a black screen and my PC "bricks". But just hitting restart frees up my computer to be used without a full hard restart.

I had no crash until 1.03. Now the game crashes on launch... Unable to play.

Same here.
Now it takes forever just to load the splash screens with weirs texts and at the loading shaders screen it says weird stuff and then it crashes.
It says stuff like sid_misc_gameInitialization_compilingShaders

I have the same thing. my ram fills up to max and then the game takes forever until anything happens, pictures and TEXTS are not found, then it crashes

same cant play the game it crashes at the end of shader comilation. I have a 4080 lol

I disabled my antivirus, tried a new game, and it worked. Then i tried loading my previous save (not the last one but the one just before), and everything came back to normal.
I have no idea what really worked, but it works.
