Downloading ENTIRE GAME AGAIN

So ive had no probs with other patches. However this time seems to be downloading the entire game again? says its gonna take over 6 hours?

there is not funny anymore. Every week patches 10-20gb. And first impression: wow, they fixed a lot. But nope, patchnotes are pretty thin. Idk if some managers check forums. Guys start use desturcturing in your code

Jesus how many times do you guys have to be told, it's not downloading the entire game again. It downloads the patch, what was around 14gb this time? These rest of the 100+GB is the game verifying and installing game files. Why does this have to be explained every. single. time? LOL Squad does this, other games do this same exact thing.

Even IF it were just a 14GB patch... what the heck is in it that requires it to be that big?? I mean we all know that the game is bloated because of textures, but cmon 14GB???

Man in the left i have 92 gb, and on the right 150, the first 50 gb on the right the speed was like 500mb/s but now it start to download the 92 gb.... i dont think it was normal. And right now i need to wait 5 + hours... if it was 20 gb it was like 1 hours becouse my speed is like 4mb/s.. Help me pls

I'm all for updates but the updating method they are using here is absolutely atrocious. Downloading over 20 GB and updating 128 GB is just insanity for a few lines of code. Come on guys. This updating behaviour REALLY needs to get fixed!

Another one begging to be blocked, you cant read can you? Its not the same for everyone, and my PC spent 25 minutes patching the game, and im on a NVME SSD, a very expensive one at that. Internet here is crazy fast too, downloading the patch took 2 minutes tops. Loading shaders also takes some people 10 seconds, others 2 minutes, regardless of the hardware. Mine is in the middle, on a VERY fast SSD.

Its not the PC's, its the game, alright? Stop beeing a smoothbrain and be quiet, you're obnoxious.

If you are in fact "downloading" more than the average (i heard last parch was around 25GB), it's because Steam either detected file corruption, modification or otherwise different hash of the files.

There's not much you can do about this other than lnce it's done doing the patch, run system file checks, check disk, and reverify game files in Steam to see if they are getting corrupted for some reason.

Why Valve? It seems that it's a STALKER 2 issue. Most games I have installed have proper update sizes, while some, including STALKER 2 have INSANE download/update sizes for what is actually in the update. It seems the simplest fix would be to split the files up instead of having huge single files. Maybe Valve can optimise the process further.
