Countries that are locked out of playing?
I have a serbian friend who cannot use a Steam Key I bought him. It is a global key, yet he cannot activate it. Is Serbia locked out? If so, what can I do?

It is a separate country in the Balkans. How the ♥♥♥♥ would it be sanctionned?

Bought it on G2A, from a "Trusted Seller" with a good 10k reviews which were positive.

Genuinely? They provided support, the only thing they refused were sanctions. And it doesn't say anything it not being available in Serbia.

g2a is a grey marketplace, not a legitimate distributor, there's always a risk

you should try and get a refund

On Steam, put Stalker2 in your basket. Go to checkout. Check ''gift for friend''. Look for your friend. Click on your friend. Click ''proceed'' and it will tell you if his country is on a block list. Cancel checkout.

I mean, most of those "Steam key" seller sites are hurting devs because the devs do not receive any money from the purchase overall, since those "sellers" buy a bunch of activation keys with stolen credit card information, sell those keys on random websites and then the owners of those credit cards do chargebacks and devs lose the money.

If you buy from a "trusted seller", just pirate it or something at least. Less damage that way. Now you spent your money and the dev doesn't receive any. Only one that wins is that shady seller.
Always wondered about that. Like there can’t be THAT many press keys just floating around…
