I'm on a part of the main story shortly after you get the psi chip installed on your helmet to confront Faust for the second time.
When im out in the open doing the ordinary firefights with monolith ill keep randomly getting one shot.
It will just make the sound that happens when i get a headshot but it's on me and i'm 100 to 0% without warning.
i'm spam saving and chipping away making progress through the town, but this really feels unintentional, there is no way the devs thought "This part would be more fun with random and avoidable instant death"
Maybe i'm just missing the point and not reading the atmosphere properly XD?
Perhaps i'm supposed to feel significantly more pressured and i'm intended to only dart between buildings expecting these snipers?
Before sleeping, look for the npc with a rifle, shoot him in the head to make him move, make him move down the hill until he decides about 4 meters away from the checkpoint.
Now go to sleep, and the sniper npc will have moved, if he is still not touching the ground, go back to a checkpoint before sleeping and move the npc further down the hill.
