Dogs can open doors. No joke.
I was at the Concrete Forest when a pack of dogs (naturally) appeared out of nowhere. I ran into the building I had unlocked before and closed the door behind me. The door just swung open on its own and the dogs got in. This is ludicrous. WIth this, along with their ability to actively seek cover, the only difference between mutants/animals and hostile stalkers is the ability to use guns.

I always use that for my advantage - if the door opens, shoot. :lunar2019grinningpig:

Ah, that's nice. So aside from guns, mutants are pretty much human.

You should have seen rats barging through my doors.

well, theoretically, dogs would have no problem jumping through open windows and everything and attacking sneakily from the smallest corners... for the fact that dogs can't jump, they can just push open doors...

Yes. But I actively closed it. The rats that another user mentioned is an even more ridiculous example.

so what? most of the buildings are damaged and have broken windows. so theoretically the animals would just find another way in. as i said, they can't jump for that... a small box is enough and you're safe...

I can find ways to be safe. That's not the point of my post. Immersion is.
