I dont use artifacts.
I don not know if this is a bad thing, but somehow i don't use any of the artifacts at all. I just sell them everytime, when i got one.

Will this be a problem later in the game or do they have dramatic impact on the diffuculty of the game?

I was like this but now I equip Radio Absorbtion and more Weight just about always. A must for the weight improvements anyway. I don't bother about the rest too much.

3 enemies beaming u with ERMs, without artifact ur screen would turn red from all the blood tripping down ur face.
Xhemical anomalies become deadlier later on.
And even with Spas against 3 bloodsuckers compass + bleed res come in handy...
Not to mention random death trap radiation corners...

Most artifacts are useless cause they have a negative effect tied to them I only found a couple so far that are positive, the Urchin and Crystal Thorn which give radio protection

Advanced armor suits have more artifact slots-this means you can use some artifacts to offset other negative effects-and even upgrade that will negate radiation effect when the artifacts is placed in the slot.

There are rare artifacts that have powerful effects that you absolutely want to use. There are even altered items that provide unique effects not seen anywhere else. You absolutely want to look for and use artifacts otherwise you are reducing your character power.

Yes I know the original game had the offset balanced well between artifacts but from what I seen sio farnot so much in this one, maybe later in game I will

Do you want to carry more?

There's an artifact for that.

Do you want to run longer?

There's an artifact for that.

Do you need protection from specific elements to explore an area?

There are artifacts for that.

That's why none of the armor sets allow you to max out their elemental protection stats.

i have an artifact that stops bleeding, so I don't need any bandages anymore. i still use them as mini medkits though

Don't sell weird water it's a must have for 40kg more loot

Got my first big one yesterday. Provides max radiation and max chemical protection, no radiation from the artifact itself. Definitely a keeper :)

Funny tho, i also found a legendary food bowl that, ,according to the description, would help against hunger and thirst, unfortunately it doesn´t do anything besides giving me weird side effects :) Anyone got this one too ?

Springs seem to be pretty easy to acquire from grav anomalies, and they're good if you like to be a pack rat.

Edit: the Weird Bolt may still crash your game when emissions happen so avoid that one for now, you can still go pick it up if you're an achievement hunter but go back to a save where you didn't have it until this bug is fixed.

It's also really good for dealing with radiation.

Liquid Rock gives Maximum Radiation and Chemical resistance with no negatives. Found in poisonous spots.

my advice: if its legendary or max stats DO NOT SELL. any artifact that INST "strong"/ "maximum" or "weird" should be sold. Thunder berry, living rock, and compass are THEE best. ive been using "weird ball" the whole play through. only sell legendary artifacts if you have multiples. 50% of people dont realize that a lead container can hold max radiation artifacts. meaning you can STACK like never before in previous games. all previous games either required a bubble or compass. I sold my extra thunderberry but i wish i at least tested what it was like to have 3 thunder berries and a living rock + other. i want to know just how fast you can go lmao. if you're concerned with achievos im disheartened to say im not sure how to check what artifs you have and havent collected
