Suppressor Effect on Weapons Question

I had 2 quick questions on suppressors:
1. Do they decrease damage? In the earlier STALKER games they did (20% decrease IIRC)
2. Do they have impact on weapon condition? I can't remember where but I saw some post/article mentioning they increase weapon degradation.

I think they decrease damage? I've noticed a pretty sharp increase in the number of headshots it takes to kill enemies with a suppressor, but I haven't done any real testing. This guy seems to have found an increase in weapon wear.

I seem to have more accuracy, for some reason, when the silencer is applied. Maybe it's the look but no the silencer seems to be easier to line up head shots for me.

Silenced UDP is very good HS weapon, Im usually running theough 60-100bullets on it and then repaod, its super cheap anyways

skifs pistol is even better costs almost nothing except 10 credits

Suppressors do increase gun wear by roughly 10 to 15%
