Have to try it myself a bit later, will update after testing.
I tried adding 3 or 2 lines to the Engine.ini, as suggested from a guy on Nexus Mod, the reflections are not flickering anymore now and it has ZERO effect on performance.
For sure they still look kinda bad, (the reflections) but at least they are not flickering for me anymore.
I thought UE5 finally got rid of the horrible reflection issue with objects in the foreground casting brighter reflections over water in the background.. making it look really bad when you start noticing it... then you can't stop noticing it. It still exists as far as I see. I can even remember seeing a UE5 video about how this was an issue they were working on fixing in UE5... guess they never did.
I'm currently using different mods via Nexus client, they have different versions and some haven't been updated since v.1.01 or so, and nothing breaks. The only possibly save breaking mod is the one with mutant loot system, other mods from my experience don't depend on patches, and .ini file changes are absolutely independent, so do it freely.
The game totally has replayability, but without A-life working is rough
Reflections are broken, it's awful
Idk where the problem is specifically, but with mods and reshading / reloading the reflections, you can fix them, it takes more out of performance though.
I linked the mod above.
