reflection issues
When entering SIRCAA for the first time after walking through the scanner, I noticed the reflections on the ground and man that is some of the worst shimmering/swimming or whatever you'd call it I've ever seen in a game. This is running game at '4k' all settings maxed out. No matter what AA method I pick(even highest quality ones), including AA off, the issue is still very much there. It's unacceptable that a game can have such visual issues, regardless of hardware. I mean so far the game has looked fairly nice but this is a huge step back. I hope there are plans to fix it. At the very least add something like Ray Reconstruction if nothing better is possible. The only way I get a consistent 60 FPS is to use DLSS at 'Performance' - and the issue is much worse at that setting.

Video(at the start of the video I am using my default AA setting used for play):

It's insane to think that games in the late 90s/early 2000s had much better reflections(pixel-perfect) compared to the most graphically-demanding games of 2024...

I think I saw a mod that fixes reflections through Ray Recontruction, but to me they just look a perfect mirror of the image above, with quite little performance loss if nothing at all, I saw this mod on nexus

Prove your claim with video footage, because it seems impossible unless maybe someone would modify/hack settings/files, which I'm not a fan of. I'll upload a video of the issue and post it here.

Thanks, but not looking for mods guys. Remember, this issue will be there for everyone unless they modify/hack files, so getting this fixed at the source should be a priority where everyone will benefit. The important thing is for the devs to fix the issues so no one needs to rely on mods that may or may not break something else(which they often do).

I know, I think the same as you do, I don't want to install mods because the next official update may break everything in your save files.

UPDATE:

I tried adding 3 or 2 lines to the Engine.ini, as suggested from a guy on Nexus Mod, the reflections are not flickering anymore now and it has ZERO effect on performance.

For sure they still look kinda bad, (the reflections) but at least they are not flickering for me anymore.

The sun rays look the same when they appear. Very 90's looking. UE5.... need a 4070 or better to make any game using it to look as it should.

I thought UE5 finally got rid of the horrible reflection issue with objects in the foreground casting brighter reflections over water in the background.. making it look really bad when you start noticing it... then you can't stop noticing it. It still exists as far as I see. I can even remember seeing a UE5 video about how this was an issue they were working on fixing in UE5... guess they never did.

I'm currently using different mods via Nexus client, they have different versions and some haven't been updated since v.1.01 or so, and nothing breaks. The only possibly save breaking mod is the one with mutant loot system, other mods from my experience don't depend on patches, and .ini file changes are absolutely independent, so do it freely.

I've been playing recently with 21 mods and I'm not having any significant problem, just 1 crash, I finished the game 4 times already (played all the finales).

The game totally has replayability, but without A-life working is rough

Please fix this

Reflections are broken, it's awful
is this fixed now?

No. Idk if it was stated above, but the problem with the reflection starts with UE5. It's not the developers fault entirely, it's the engine.

Idk where the problem is specifically, but with mods and reshading / reloading the reflections, you can fix them, it takes more out of performance though.

I linked the mod above.
