I'm tired of being locked out of main quests. I'm tired of the performance of the game. I tried it on xbox and it was mid as expected, so I switched to steam and even my pc just does not run it that well, nor does my brothers rig. I have an amd build with a 5900x and 7900xtx andhe runs a 14900 and 4090 and we both have agreed that it just runs like crap. The fps counter is lying to you because it might say 100 fps but it feels like 20.

He isn't as far as I am in the story and I have had to console command my way past 4 main quests now, and am stuck at another in Pripyat.

Pripyat is a slideshow no matter the settings used. I can see an average of 150+ fps in my substantial steam games list, but this one just runs so.....poorly....

I have nothing but respect for the dev team, I understand their situation. I am a combat veteran, I know of the horrors they had to flee to continue working on their game. But to charge 80 bucks on a game that plays increasingly poorly as you progress through the story is kinda bupkis. I have many hours in this literally standing around in game while in another tab google searching for ways to advance buggy quests. Having watched people play older Stalker titles it made me super excited to get into the Stalker world, but this game is not what I had hoped it would be. Needs more time in the over.

So I asked for a refund, not because I hate the game, but because I just don't think its ready to play yet. It needed more time in the oven.

After the last 2 patches its been near constant unreal error access violation 0x000000 crashes. Drop a broken weapon? crash. Run up to an anomaly and throw a bolt? crash. Eat food (jesus christ does Skif eat more than any person in any game I've ever played). crash.

Not to mention the annoying random weapon in your hands bug where it takes my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ out of my hands to put a random nearly broken m860 in it, and when i go to switch it out? Yep....game crash. File verification always comes back fine. Does not matter if the mods are active and installed or not.

Maybe our time together isn't meant to be right now Stalker universe, its not me, its you. I need you to mature some more. To grow. Maybe in a year or so it will be a condition that is worth the 80 usd.

If you've gotten to Pripyat I think you're a bit far into the game to be getting a refund lol.

I prepurchased it, installed it, and now i;m letting it age until enough patches have come out to make the game stable enough.

Anyone who has played STALKER must have anticipated that the game would be a technical disaster, it's almost canon. Not that it justifies the state of the game, but it was just a very predictable reality.
