Stop claiming the game suffers from a memory leak!
A memory leak is only when your GPU's memory gets maxed out, so the game starts hogging up on system memory, and then it eventually goes into your page file. The game just simply uses a lot of memory because it was made in the first ever version of Unreal Engine 5, which has a lot of CPU optimization bugs that are not present in UE5.5. In order to stop all stuttering and fps drops into the single digits, you have to be utilizing under 80% of your GPU's memory. For example, the safe zone for 8GB cards is 6400MB. If it goes past that in utilization in any game, the textures will die or performance will drop. Also, Steam uses around 700MB of GPU memory when you have it opened. Therefore, to fix this issue, you must minimize Steam launcher to tray after launching the game. I hope I have been of great help to you guys. Enjoy a smooth and buttery game!

To help people out with 8GBs of GPU memory, you need to be running a mix of high and medium settings in order for fps to not immediately die when saving inside settlements. All you can do is 1080p native high preset with: textures on medium, environmental shadows on medium, object shadow quality on medium, object quality on medium, clouds quality on medium, sky rendering on medium, and global illumination on medium.

Nice rig. Sounds like you know how to tweak it too, unlike some of these dam PC tourists.

My 3070Ti have 70-90 FPS on 2K resolution and all settings set to Max at all times, during travel or combat. But sometimes have weird drops, which go away on their own sometimes. Sometimes game runs fine for hours. Sometimes same places that cause FPS drop before, do not cause same FPS drop next time i visit them. So its kinda random.
Dunno what causes it, but it clearly shows, that my GPU is capable of running game just fine and whatever is causing FPS drops is something in game coding, whatever it might be.

High NPC resource use is the main FPS killer atm. Does it happen alot in npc heavy areas?

This is the same issue I've been seeing, you can try to adjust the cuda settings, that mitigates the issue some, but does not stop it. It seems like the GPU is running out of memory, which should not really be happening. It indicates a leak somewhere.
I dunno why people are having this issue. It seems to hit random users.
Cause I leave this game Alt tabbed for 6+ or overnight like every other day and when I alt back into it
it still plays fine.

Alt-tabbing away from a paused game is not going to cause an issue, if the issue is tied to rendering.

I mean, the gpu utilization stays the same, the resources are still being used, the game is still occupying RAM space. I dont see how its any different. Its still rendering whats been paused on and has to remember that for when its un paused, meaning its still rendering.

If anything would show a memory leak Id have thought itd be leaving a game alt tabbed for 6 - 15 hours lmao.

Regardless. I have no mem leak when playing, when alt tabbed. None.

No, it does not. That you think a paused game utilizes the same resources as an in progress game is laughable.

the resources are still being used,
No, they are not.

Correct, but whatever is causing the 'leak,' is not happening, since the game is static.

I dont see how its any different.
Again, if you think a static game on pause is the same as game being played, that is ignorant.

Its still rendering whats been paused on and has to remember that for when its un paused, meaning its still rendering.
Not in even close to the same way.

You're assuming the leak is caused by something that is still active during game pause, which does not seem to be the case. If the leak, or bad resource allocation, is caused by rendering new locations, then you would see fine performance in a pause screen.

You're just a troll.

Oh yeah, your the guy who said your posts couldn't be tracked by anyone because your profile is private to prove you get angry a lot, which you do, as seen in your posts.

Opinion disregarded due to emotional incontinence. Trying to make yourself look smart by giving bad PC advise? You have proven yourself a fool yet still stick to your guns. Trying to make yourself look a fool in every discussion? Mission accomplished.

I will not regard you again.

Needless to say,

So onto the block and report list you go!

Your post history is always public, can't make that private. Shows your mentality though, I offer you an easy way to get your game going but you immediately start to lie and then try to block to try to cover it up.

Easiest win of today, thanks.

IKR, he should be embarrassed

And he thinks he can give PC advise.......

Quit hindering duct tape selling businesses, they need to close the leaks.

And he is deluded enough to give people PC advise and thinks he knows what a mem leak en-tales.........the hubris!

2/3 patches have addressed memory leaks, which means even the developers acknowledge the existence of memory leaks. They're still persisting after 1.0.3. Why you're telling even the developers to "stop claiming the game suffers from a memory leak" (when there's multiple memory leak sources) is beyond me.
