Different engines that do different things and are filled with different stuff.
Reddit thread discussing Nanite
Better team, smart developers, more time, smart resource management with memory and processes. Optimal engine. Same goes for Atomic Heart. If Stalker 2 had Atomic's Heart engine and visuals, it would've been a blast. Stalker was never a game about graphics, it was about atmosphere. Music, and sinister places to explore with an environment that punished you for exploring and gave you a "reward". Plus, If you think about it, most respectable game studios have a good engine that delivers what it needs to deliver with their narrative and message. Rockstar and other companies, don't go to the extra mile for nothing.
But it’s literally a more complex game and even looks better.
Then there is GSC that never released a game of this scale, is a much smaller team, smaller budget and was developed during war time and using unreal 5 engine.
Different graphics engines. Anyone owning and playing a PC these days should already understand the basics. Lastly, you're NOT going to get the level of fidelity in-game playing Stalker as RDR2 due to the fact your PC is NOT built for even the minimum of specs for the game. You have no capable DLSS or FSR. You do NOT have enough memory to even run the game fully. Lastly, ,this is Unreal Engine 5.XXX. It's basically the newest of the new. If RDR2 was built in this engine you'd get the exact same low frames.
