I have 12gb and it constantly sits in between 8 and 9 @ 1440p high/epic.
Even Hardware Unboxed has declared the game unplayable on any 8gb card at 1440p and 4k. 1080p should be playable.
as stated it belongs in a museum but it works quiet will, i see a lot of people with issue in modern game on new hardware and here i sit on a museum item and it works well with a pretty decent fps :p i find it hillarius
And since PC reboot was actually affecting it heavily I think it's more memory fragmentation problem then a "leak". As a leak would go away with process termination. Which it doesn't. It deteriorates through the sessions.
I dont know the reason but FG does something to the gpu vram thats just my guess you have 12 gb on ur 3060 so i think you can play longer with fg i got 3060ti 8gb if i put fg im getting that memory leak or w/e it is and without fg i can play for hours with no problem but fg make the game smoother for me. Also i found out that performance on dlss will give you more time to play with fg on as i think it will take more power from the cpu insted of the gpu but still im not sure. What i do know for a fact is that its 100% the FG that make this problem for most people.
It doesnt seem to actually get "Worse", its appearance follows a trend, all things considered.
As i understood after a couple of days of research is that FG uses anywhere between
10-30% of your GPU power and 1-2 GB of VRAM. When you force FG on a already maxed out GPU, is gonna cripple your game. i believe having 60-70% GPU usage and having 12GB of vram is the defining factor on why you can run the game with no issues at all.
(I am no expert, is just a bunch of research i did in the past few days so i can play the game smoothly on my rig)
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II has EXACTLY the same issue as STALKER 2 regarding the stuttering with frame generation.
Maybe when its first DLC hits the stores, it will have a complete overhaul of the game, much like Cyberpunk had with Phantom Liberty release.
