i just use defender and every one saying dont use norton but nobody has a recommended replacement give the guy a hand an say what to pick instead

I have also been using norton for years and it is a good antivirus program. I sent the file in which it detects the virus for analysis, we will see what norton does. This is a false message about virus. And why? People who want to find out should read up on IDP.Generic

Using Norton is like calling in an excavator to help you plant some flowers.
It’s bloated garbage and it’s detection engine has rated the very bottom since 2005

Windows defender is right now good enough for daily use. Unless you have company secrets on your PC or doing company work you really don't need anything else.

Honestly Fox, I’ve used Norton for years, and it just got worse and worse. I barely used my comp for internet, the built in windows defender is enough. The last straw for me was when Norton quarantined the exe for Silent Hill 2, and consistently blocked Train Sim world from going online, despite my setting it up to allow this three times. I’m done with it. Comp runs better without it
