[Veteran difficulty] Chimera and Pseudogiant HP
Chimera on Veteran - takes insane 35 shotgun headshots or literal 240 5.56 headshots - without the buggy AI that manages to just get stuck in places and stop moving or climbing on boxes preventing mutants from attacking you, this is near impossible to kill and gives 0 reward. It can deal 99% of your HP's damage in one hit or even instantly kill you by jumping right at you, pushing you down and then scratch till death, without chance to heal.

Pseudogiant - takes similar insane amount of ammo to kill, I've dealt with it during a mission, where 4 NPCs were helping with killing it. It took several minutes of firing to finally kill - it's completely out of balance, and once again, yields no reward, no loot and not even an achievement other than (KIll all mutant types).

For comparison between Stalker - Veteran difficulties, bloodsucker goes down in 4 shotgun shots (Stalker) and double of 8 shots on Veteran.

Some of the mutant HP is still ridiculous after 1.0.1. I know they are MUTANTS but it makes no sense that a pseudogiant will survive punishment that would kill a dinosaur.

Mutants have a armor factor so if you want full damage use armor piercing ammo.
"Their muscles are exceptionally powerful and their bones are as hard as steel. The creature's brain is protected by a sturdy (up to 10 centimeters thick) skull, while many complex functions are controlled by the spinal medulla." - Shadow of Chernobyl PDA description. Kinda, lore wise, makes sense why pseudogiants are tanky.

Good luck with that in for example, THE ARENA, where on Veteran the Chimera died after LITERALLY ALL AMMO was dumped into its stupid face !

Tanky does not mean squad of 4 NPCs firing for 5 minutes at a Pseudogiant, with me unloading every shell and every AR ammo I have into it as well.

Why you play on Veteran? Play on Rookie xD

I mean, it too doesn't make sense that pseudogiant can tank several PG-7 HEAT shots from an RPG-7...

Hear me out. Instead of trying to kill them like you're playing Fallout 4, you can run away.

Rookie dumbs down already broken AI to extra incompetent levels.
Stalker difficulty feels too easy, human enemies can't manage to hurt me almost at all.
Veteran difficulty feels just right with human enemies, but mutant fights are basically broken due to ridiculous levels of HP, which btw was confirmed by devs literally patching this and lowering the HP of several mutant enemy types.

Guess you'll never become Arena Master then. Or manage to kill every type of mutant.
Have a bit of ambition in life.

I just had to kill one to unblock something, etc spoilers - but my god, being out in the open fighting these things is absurd

Why do i have this insane notion floating around my head, this monster was entirely untested, and was originally designed with a damn dodge mechanic inmind.

Hear me out, the story forces you to fight one later on to progress the mission, i literally just did the quest .....

Majority of mutants were total bullet sponges, hence the nerf to their HP in the first patch. Bloodsuckers before patch felt like fighting a Chimera...

Personally I'm fine with that. Chimera and Pseudogiant are *supposed* to be extremely dangerous, rare, boss-like enemies.

It does feel like the majority of the game was tested by devs using dev commands, and next to no actual player feedback.

I can understand why rewarding the player for running away is a designed mechanic, but when you actually need to fight one, as its a mission request, you suddenly feel how ridiculous they are.
