As it was pointed out by someone earlier, it would not be much of a counter if every load would remove the death added by previous death. This would mean anyone who finished the game would have death counter of zero because there is no way around death.
This is a video game, try not to stroke the ego too much lol
Should seen my old man play Half Life. If he missed a shot? Reload.
And the sheer number of definitely avoidable fall deaths.
I understand it's an easily manipulated system and then you died? Who cares right? You learned, You load in, and you chog along but no! now you have the "reminder" that your now on your 30th death in Zillanskia hahaha "hypothetically"
Having something remind you of how many times you've died is a little disheartening in all reality.
The point im making is - Its a tactic used by devs to drive a size up war between its players to create content for nowadays games -Zero death runs from content creators, and everything that streams from the fact.
In all reality GSC kind of introduced a competitive nature to a game that wasn't ever needed, required or asked for by the fan base that's kept this company alive to date.
All i can stress now is that mods will make this what it should of been on release, All gsc appears to be capable of, Is making a fairly above average foundation.
GAMMA right now as of date, Is still and will be for a long time a far better experience created from modders for free. None of this 200$ + pre order crap.
