Difficulty with a stash - lesser zone

There is a stash inside a kind of well, you have to jump, no ladder to get it. Only issue is when I try to follow the tunnel to get out a massive swarm of rats just overwhelm me, small rats, how exactly are you suposed to deal with it, there must be hundreds of them !

carry grenades for rat swarms

grenade the simple one with small blast radius & all "skaven" gone.

Edit : also there is a grenade in the stash x]

They are slowish. Go down to opposite end. Throw grenade as they come.

There is 2 " entries / exists " to this stash. If you do your way ( the hard way, jumping and almost dying from he height) , you can quickly press E then R on the corpse and the stash to loot everything and then you can jump over the rat pack and run to the ladder at the end of the tunnel without using grenades. Then easy way is when you now where the " exit " is and you use that exit to enter the tunnel instead and save on a medkit.

All right but where is the exit then ?

There is a ladder on the left in the large open dead-end area if you're coming from the jump in entrance.
