"The Price Goes up" Diode?

It says to go to the Slag Heap, what I find there is completely jank base filled with broken bandit npcs, it's really embarrassing and screams alpha, but the map isn't marked like it has been this whole time for other objectives? Cant find this guy or "the boss" anywhere

Dunno why it's broken for you, but Diode is in a back room of the slag heap. Go in the main door and around the left side of the bar.

That's Garbage alright. New to the series?

Diode is the tech guy of this settlement (Slag Heap) and you can find him e.g. by using the tech NPC map marker (check map legend to learn the symbols).

This quest sucks..he has you go to a lab where you get insta killed just because ♥♥♥♥ you...slag heap is surrounded by a radioactive invisible wall that also insta kills you..

Just a terrible area in the game

So this still doesnt help me lol. There's no orange marker and I cant find Diode anywhere at the bandit camp Slag Heap where it says he is ..

He's the weapons upgrade and repair guy in slag

If you can't find the guy who repairs your gear it's a bug

Im in slag and everyone is just saying "talk to the boss" and there's no icons for any technician or anything, the whole base feels bugged out with every Npc standing in awkward spots

If Diode isn't were the Tech is normally sitting then you might have progressed in the main story. There should be a guy standing were Diode is sitting normally. Talk to that guy.

Thankfully after more searching I realized I was at the Depot lol and the quest marker appeared once I zoomed into the correct spot x.x phew all hope isnt lost
