SIRCAA Mission - How Far In
How far into the game is the SIRCAA Mission? I have been having a blast exploring but really did not do much and I am thinking maybe I advanced the game to much.

Thanks in advance!

I completed it and had the worst performance in game sadly

Considering the places still locked / dormant due to story missions I'd say.. half way? (Haven't even reached Pripyat yet - and there are twothree "hidden" zones beneath a cloud layer on the map...)

And by SIRCAA-Mission I take it you mean actually going there? (which in itself is a very lengthy mission chain if you add the swamp expedition to it...)

edit: fixed mistake -there are three hidden zones beneath the cloud layer on the map

You’re about to reach 50%

I'd say you're like 40% done. There's still a lot more. Running. Keep a save at that location. The game's quests tend to break after you finish it.

Thanks! Yes I mean the mission during the main quest that lets you enter SIRCAA to do something. It is a long quest so that is why I was thinking this may be closer to the end than I was thinking. There are still side missions I skipped but once I finished this mission I was thinking I should have knocked them out beforehand.

I hope I still go back and do them. Thanks for the detailed reply.

About those sidequests... I hope it's not too late, but some of the sidequests are closing once you are done with SIRCAA. Some locations switch ownership - don't have mapped all of the changes yet, but as a rule of thumb: in my current playthrough I do all the sidequests of a zone newly uncovered before proceeding with the main quest.

So before doing swamp end / SIRCAA I'd recommend doing lesser zone, garbage, cordon as much as you can. Might even have a look at cement factory & cooling towers (above cement factory) - good loot but also a bit harder.

Thanks for the tips and I had a feeling I may be rushing it after I saw the end of the SIRCAA mission. :(

I even went to Rostok and they had missions there too. Seemed to a little harder in that area so I went back to the lower area. I tried to go through the Swamp area since that area sucks as far as travel goes but I did not take the ladies side mission with Sultan and Bread. That sounded like a bad idea but I have to research it first.

I went back to the last save I had before the SIRCAA and it was one I made right before I went hunting for the Weird Water. I had to do that over again to get it, but I did get it in short order. All in all I pitched about 4-5 hours progress. I wish they would let you edit the save file name so you could label it to something descriptive. "Right Before SIRCCA" would be nice. :)

Had the very same moment - I was like "Oh-oh - that can't be good" :lunar2019laughingpig:

Zaton definately is worth a visit. If you have ignored Ikarus base - it might help you for the swamp quest (gear-wise). And the Beard quest is definately worth it (gear-wise, character-wise). Luckily I did that beforehand - I missed out Ikarus though :steamsad:

I did a fresh start at some point - because there are some nice variations worth it. And well... it's not like the game isn't fun, so I didn't mind

But yeah, some hint would've been nice...

I might have to do a fresh start again. Update 1.02 removed all my save files and I may have to start over. Major bummer if they cannot replace them.

You get a mission that tells you to "Go to SIRCAA", just don't do it and keep exploring and doing side-quest instead and you'll be fine but can't progress further in the main story obviously. A lot will change after that mission and factions and places will be lost to you forever, the story gets really heavy-handed and unsatisfying, destroying that certain Zone roaming atmosphere that made the previous games so great.

The mission is 1/3 into the story as I understand it, I'm not sure though since I can't progress much further after it because a certain still not fixed bug.

yeah, 6 days later same deal, the missions are still bugfested. I'm just trying to remember which step of the main quest chain was the one to stop before you end up at SIRCAA. Coz during SIRCAA everything suddenly gets locked out and bugs happen and you can't repair or unload leading to doomed gamelocks.

Damn - saw that too late. :steamsad: This would've been fixable. (e.g. with this solution)

It isn't that bad after SIRCAA. There are two glitchy sidequests. One doesn't close and the "most famoused" one (Lesser Zone after SIRCAA) is doable. I wrote down the steps somewhere on this discussion board and others also found ways around them (all it takes are some activators like go to specific positions / do stuff at positions). After those I didn't encounter any other issues. Some things are just blown out of proportion ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

I had 2 playthroughs and working on my third one.

I actually had to use that method a second time. I think the issue is if you crash while the save icon is displayed it will not load your saves. They are all still there actually and if you find the latest hard save and know what time was on that save, then it is easy to back that up, and rename it to your newly created save. Worked great for me on 2 save slots. PITA but it works.

I was like 50 hours in before I went to SIRCAA but I was waiting for patches before doing it. I'd say SIRCAA is like 1/3 of the way through the story. The only quests I had issues were was with the one with Beard and the Sultan which did sort itself out and the saving Zalissya one that I had to wait for patch 1.03 to finish, it wasn't nearly as bugged for me as other people. When I showed up there all the monolith solders were already dead, I just had to do the couple side quests, but the trader and his guard would die as soon as they hit the door. The patch came out 2 days later, the dudes were able to enter the building, and then I was called back to fight the monolith and everything worked fine from there.
