fix your broken radiation. pretty much does nothing some places 1 second max and now your dead
no warning nothing you can do to stop it as your already dead because you cannot even hot bar use item as your dead as you attempt to start animation.

slag heap hill from all sides is death and i just went to a a safe to pick up some loot and did not even get see whats inside it as dead.

fix your buggy game devs.

and make auto save timer adjustment a thing so i don't have to run another 30min to redo what i just did when ♥♥♥♥ like this keeps happening.

and FYI I HAVE THE LIQUID ROCK AND A URCHIN ARTEFACT AND STILL GET MAX RADS IN UNDER 1 SECOND MAKE A CAP YOU DAFT ♥♥♥♥♥

iv died 2 times to that dam thing and i was just trying to go on from not the front no slight shortcuts for death hill.

Pretty much....You get literally one second. There has been a ton of instant death spots in this quest. I got to avoid it my first time..but they have you around the area for a quest with no way of knowing where the radiation begins.

he lab was another insta death loop...looked up a guide that told me just to step backwards...nope insta death regardless.

Wow, that really is quite silly
Hoping it levels out......but after meeeting with Diode the games a nightmare for a bit

the counter means f all most of the time it go's off and yer i do not suffer any radiation and other places its like you touch this piece of dirt 10000000000000000000000000000000000000% more rad. we are saying there is basically almost zero time to react first time and you dead if you know its there go on watch your rad meter and see how fast that thing hits max. spoiler 1 second.

the game has broken radiation points.

Those area's are the "Nonplayable" areas, or places you are NOT supposed to be

Yes sometimes it happens randomly, like mine did in slag heap getting to a stash at the very top, but I luckily survived and that's been patched already!

I agree...the area near Slag Beast is stupid..there's no indication where the radation begins or ends...it just goes straight to death. To boot you have to climb to the very top later on...the just put an invisible death wall there as a solution lol

Also, the quest where you have to search the lab for Diode....What the living ♥♥♥♥ were they thinking.

Wait really? Not a gradual increase? Just *plop* dead?

There are areas like this - always have been btw. It's the Garbage level characteristic / background story. Those scrap heaps are highly radioactive and one does know that doing shortcuts over the hills is NOT recommended in this place.

Once more S.T.A.L.K.E.R. isn't your ordinary shooter here and the zone is what it is. A dangerous place.

For sure, first time is a surprise, that's part of the experience right. F5 often :)

You have to explore his lab...only way to get in is through a very hidden route underground. Meaning you have to look around. These balls of light just pop in front of you, while your looking, and your dead. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loud too...pissed me right off...I'm over the radiation zone...nbd...Diodes lab? just get rid of the anomalies that don't warn you.

there is literally a path up the hill at Slag for the quest. the compass will guide you to the top and you can avoid all of the rads. its a twisty, turny, underground tunnel, parkour path. annoying yes but absolutely doable without rad protection or meds.

i was dumb enough to try to take the "fast way" down it and i died really fast to rads. just stick to the path

And there are signs for the way back where to go...

its almost as if they made radiation actually immersive and deadly unlike most other post-apocalyptic games?almost as if they planned it around slag heap since its full of metal and metal objects give of the most radiation in the game?u expect to gently walk ur way into 10k roentgen and walk back out?this is stalker mate,if u want such an easy time go play fallout!

The hangar has a one that's pretty much just instagib, near the safe on the truck, had to be just on "the edge of the radiation zone" to access the safe, otherwise you get instagibbed by it.

this is the correct answer, the garbage is supposed to be a radioactive wasteland, its literally where all the contaminated metal was dumped and now "diggers" sift through it looking for stuff to sell. It was always the most radioactive place in the previous games, besides the CNPP of course.

It wasnt as bad in previous games because having the radiation meter reach max didnt kill you outright, it just drained hp really fast and knocked out all your stamina. In SoC its even possible to rush past radiation barriers and get out of bonds easily since on some hills there arnt physical barriers.

But of course it all really didnt matter since you could also get 5 soul artifacts, if lucky, right at the beginning of the garbage to basically out heal anything in the game. SoC had the best artifacts besides the bullet and cut resistance ones, after soc they gimped the artifacts so hard and even here in 2 most are worse than in CoP
