How Good is this Game
From the first cut-scene to almost 70 hours in-game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has completely captivated me and from the ratings on Steam sitting at a 9 out of 10 I'm sure there's plenty of others that will agree that it's definitely the game of 2024.

It's performed brilliantly on my setup pre and post patch with a few as to be expected visual artifacts that doesn't in any way spoil the feel of the game, instead I feel it adds to it because you are in the Zone and not everything you see is real.

The love and attention GSC Game World and everyone that has been involved in creating such a masterpiece has blown me away.

I Salute all of you for making the game possible and can only speak praise for the game

Thank You so much for everything you have done and letting me play this Masterpiece

IMO it's exactly deserving of the 8/10 it seems to be sitting at. As-is anyway, if the issues were worked out it would be a 9 or 10 easily.

I played all of the old STALKER's and I feel the 2nd lives up to those, and exceeds them too.

The open-world map is great, no loading screens like some other dev I could mention. Only loading screens are when first launching the game, and then if you die. Otherwise the entire map appears to be wide open and seamless.

i nominate this game as game of the year even with the bugs. when its polished its a masterpiece. great graphics, immersive and cool cutscenes i found myself sitting and dodgeing some of the attacks from the AI believe it or not. good music. the atmosphere is great. really captured the Chernobyl aspect of it. looked up a video of some teenagers sneaking into Chernobyl filming with a 4k camera and it looks just the same. without the mutants. the gun play reminds me off Escape from Tarkov and the game is hard and unforgiving. but this is just a 1 mans opinion. give it 3 to 6 months and think of all the mods it will have. who knows maybe multiplayer as well. since the world dont stop around you when you look at maps and stuff.

It's kinda what I've always wanted in an open world survival style game. It's also like a better Fallout with weapons that don't look ridiculous lol. I enjoyed playing the original games when the trilogy released on Xbox. This is just more of that with a more modern feel and QOL improvements. Loving it.

Absolutely loving it as well.
I am new to the series and honestly after 15 hours I almost gave up on it...but once i left the first area I got into the game and its incredible, 9/10 from me as well.

Hands down, GOTY. Without a doubt.

8 as it stands vanilla. will be a 9.5 after some more patches as vanilla. with mods right now its a 9. with dev patches and mods together later, probably a 10/10

Yeah its frustrating that so many people are having technical issues. Im lucky to be playing it flawlessly and its too bad so many people cant enjoy the game as intended as its so damn good when you can just sit back and enjoy it. Hopefully they can iron out all these issues for everyone else.

Definitely resembles a more mature and grounded Fallout FPS with the exploration elements. I do wish there was a little more variety in the enemy types, weapons and armor, but mods will likely fix that.

On the technical side, the game definitely performs like older Bethesda games. Plenty of stuttering, crashing, freezing and annoying AI issues.

7/10. Yesterday, it was like 6 or 5. Anyway, I'm sure the game won't be my favorite even after all the patches. SoC is better, but even SoC isn't in my top.

Stalker is like... Keshi i don't know. It's just a good game

It's good...a lot of weird design choices..getting killed randomly I don't understand, I'll get into it but then some stupid ♥♥♥♥ where a ball of light will just appear and kill me...it really is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid

Game runs fine btw...just a good game that's really frustrating

It feels like a non binary version of the original game. Not only that, but you have to mod the game after paying the $60 or $70 it costs to get it to run somewhat decently (glad I didn't pay,) and it's just a poor game.

Indie developers are pushing out better games than companies with millions of dollars, which is ridiculous.

Its a 4/10. Its broken af sadly. Needs a complete overhaul. Busted from top to bottom.
Not busted for me. Does it need an overhaul to try to compete agianst modders vs just making a sequel to their own game?

It's broken.

AI is stupid as hell.
Some quests cannot be completed due to sripting errors.
Mutants are still fat if you compare to the previous games.
Quests are boring and most of them aren't as deep as those we had in CoP.
Economy is still garbage (traders buy things from you for 12% of its cost).
World feels dead because there's no A-life and when you move past 100 meters from a group of stalkers... Well, they disappear forever.

And yeah. AI is garbage if you compare it ti previous games. Do you need an example? Well, here it is:

5 dead stalkers vs 1 pack of not moving rats.
