artifact price increase?
The patch notes said artifact sell prices were significantly increased but mine still don't seem to be selling for much... how much were artifact sell prices increased exactly?

They increased the worth of every artefact. 60k artifacts are worth now 70k etc.

So the 1.4k Artifact i just sold was for free bevore? For me it too looks like selling prices went down not up.

So I am playing on gamepass and it seems like my game hadn't actually updated yet when i made this post lol so my game is good. The sell prices have definitely gone up but not "dramatically" or however they put it in the patch notes. My most valuable artifact for example went from a value of 60 to 70k and a sell price of 10k to like 12.5k

Was curious and checked after the update - a 20k value artifact was only selling for 6.7k at trader in garbage. That is hardly in increase or worth it considering how much repairs cost and buying items cost. Eco is still pretty trash currently.

Note: It matters a lot what your local reputation is when trading. If you get enough rep to turn the trader icon green on the map, you get much better prices when selling. The technician's repair costs are similarly reduced. It makes a really big difference; enough that I don't sell or repair anything if my rep is insufficient (Slag heap). I'd rather make the trek to a place where I do have the rep (currently Zalissya).

The traders rip you off so hard that even though they practically doubled the early game artifact prices, functionally, you still only get approximately the same as before.

This is backwards to how the old games used to be. If anything, no matter what, you should be going to the (scientist faction, so Malachite) to sell your artifacts for the best price, not hiking down to the starting town because they like you. You sell it to the people who know their worth.

This makes a way more interesting dynamic than what's going on where everyone is just out to rip Skiff off as much as humanly possible until he goes out on a limb and either does a bunch of work for them, saves their asses on repeat, or generally just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ their whole situation.

We could have an interesting dynamic where the people who need or want specific goods pay more for them, but instead we have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ reputation system where it seems like only Zalissya by default isn't going to completely screw the player. Which is ironic, because spoilers means that can be taken away from you (and half the time it's bugged now anyway...)
