Hard crash whenever I walk into an anomaly.

But only the one that jump boosts you, or the distorted air ones that just go "whoosh" when you walk into them and do some damage (the gravity ones with the swirly leaves are fine). My entire game locks up and freezes, the game won't close, my monitor resolution changes to 640p, and the only fix is to entirely restart my PC. Anyone know why these two anomalies would be crashing my computer? At first I just played while being super careful to dodge them entirely, they one shot you in ANOMALY/GAMMA afterall, but there's a difference between having to reload a save, and having to restart my entire computer, not a soft restart either, I have to unplug it from the wall to get it turn off, which can't be good for it. I was also hoping this recent patch would fix it, and it did not.

The latest patch this started for me when walking into vortex or sometimes the cloud jumpers/fall clouds(maybe they are pushing me into the vortex's where I'm at, and not the problem). Never before, or at least I believe it was last patch, I know they did 2 really close but I was playing everyday and suppose I walked into both during the gap. Ima try and get past the part I'm at which probably can be done and see if its out side of the lab also and report back if its fine else where... Or ima close the game while saying some cuss words and not try again til 2025 lol

Its not mods, settings or anything its the game its dire. Its still bad after three updates, and always will be because its still being programmed like the xray engine on UE5!!

I get this one as well, although it doesn't always require a system restart for me. If I press ALT-F4 or Alt-Ctrl-Del, it will eventually close, or Taskman will pop up. Interesting thing I noticed before it stopped responding one time, my distance from the objective read something like ▼2678292698 meters

Some of these hard crash bugs seem to have to do with using the Ukrainian language. If you are encountering a consistent hard crash in one spot, and you have Ukrainian set as the voice language, you could try setting it over to English voice and see if it gets you past the crash location (and then switch it back when you are ready).

My speculation is that there is a corrupt sound file in the Ukrainian set, that only plays in specific instances, and when it plays it causes a crash.

same here. after i got to the point of no return in the story, my game hard crashes every time i get into a gravity anomaly.

Same thing for me. This needs to be seen by devs and patched.

Same here. This is legitimately blocking me from getting a few achievements or getting through areas heavy with anomalies.

same issue. i am stuck after killing Scar. I have to go through to 2 anomalies in order to leave the area after the decontamination door. One i can get rif of using a bolt...the other....BTDT.
Tried all offered solutions on steam and stalker site to no avail.

I had the same problem. I needed to use the console and 'UETools_Ghost' command to avoid these anomalies (go around through walls). I did not find any other solution.

Same. Gravitational anomaly used to be safe to walk into. Not anymore. Causes game to freeze 50% of the time. Made me set the game aside until a fix (100 hours in)
