S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 won't start after patch 1.01.

After updating the game, it categorically refuses to start, has anyone already encountered the same problem?

i have a black screen, after several minutes it loads but all text is either missing or is weird like "sid_misc_pausemenu_continue" for the continue button

Mods? Try deleting them first. I'm guessing ( no proof just a hunch ) this is probably going to be most people's issues if they're playing modded. Mine included.

They work in the weekends. But game launches fine on my end, probably mods that are conflicting now.

Patched and loaded up fine for me, I am in-game. No mods here though.

just effing great, i quit out the game to get UE tools to enter the bunker for the dr., which doesn't open
and now the game is bricked, even bluescreened my PC on the first startup nice

Lovely, try deleting your config (the .ini file for settings ) for STALKER 2 and relaunching. You'll have to set your stuff back to the way you had it but sometimes this prompts the game to reinitialize and fixes launch problems for quite a few games. Back up your settings ini first just to make sure if I'm suspecting incorrectly you can just replace it and wait for an official fix.

Had the same issue and mutant loot mod was the issue for me. After deleting it game runs normal. So if ur using mods , gonna need to figure out which one is causing it.

It was mutant loot for me too. At least as far as I can tell. Installed the mod this morning and started seeing that. Then uninstalled it and it went away. Issue came back after a reboot but maybe I missed a file because I went to reinstall the mod and windows asked if I wanted to overwrite the file.
Removed it all again and it's fine again.

If anyone using GeforceNOW, setting launch parameters while in steam window with '-ResetSettings' could help
