Where is the gamepass update?
Granted you said XBOX would be getting the update later on. PC gamepass players are not xbox players and there's no reason we were not given the patch at the same time as steam. Why would you even release an update on friday? It's widely known in the gaming industry to no release things before the weekend.

Ask Microsoft?

The issue with Game Pass on PC is effectively plays Xbox version of the game. It usually takes longer to verify and release patch for consoles are Microsoft or Sony review it before release. This is the reason why Game Pass on PC had most of game patched with a delay compared to Steam. This happened with with major games such as Starfield and few others.

This. I wouldn't mind waiting, but, judging by the feedback from Steam forums, I'm in a somewhat critical point story wise and the risk of the whole thing breaking is there. Welp, just going to wait, I guess.

It's still yet another process dictated by the service owner (Microsoft). The patch went live on Steam and GOG almost simultaniously. I pretty much doubt the delay on GamePass has anything to do with the devs.

I don't really need to since the very first sentence is wrong.

Microsoft has to look through 2 versions of the game before it releases that being PC version and xbox. Basic common sense right? Only since this is a well known thing wouldn't it of been smarter to give the patch to microsoft first so they can do what they do and then give it to steam so it all releases around the same time? No, that'd be to hard apparently.

whats new version code

Microsoft have to authorise the patch through their store before allowing it to deploy to end user devices, Steam are faster with this where as Microsoft are a little slower for different reasons - this was the same story with Palword for example.

This process is very simliar to how Apple control iOS apps, nothing gets onto an iPhone worldwide without being thoroughly checked, Microsoft do the same for their store.

You're welcome, be patient.

Nope, the GamePass PC Versions are not the Xbox Versions.
