IT'S NOT A 132 GB update, It's a 13.7 GB patch to download. Then Steam has to update the whole game's files - that's the 132 GB you keep seeing, but it's not downloading 132 GB.

The Steam Updater can be confusing. It'll show 13.7 GB / 13.7 GB for the actual download, and then a small icon for the disk space size with two numbers like 73.4 GB / 132.0 GB.

Which simply means it's PATCHING the 132.0 GB original install. It's not re-downloading all 132 GB.

I also only did a 13.7GB download, it's busy patching to 132GB.
Game folder size staying more or less the same size.

Good luck to all the Stalkers experiencing abnormal issues.

As they say in the zone: "The only way to find out how it works is to try it out."

The actual patch was only a 14GB download, but then it has to actually apply the patch to the game, but if you look at the downloads menu, it is not redownloading the full 140GB. I know understanding basic concepts like how patching works is hard, but try to keep up, OP

Not every patch works the same way.

Every Unreal Engine game patch works this way.

It may look like that in your download manager, but only actually downloads the 13GB. It happens to me with any game patch, where the downloads will say it's downloading the entire game, but in reality only downloads what is needed.

When I read comments like those coming from the OP I feel like we desperately need to reintroduce some sort of slavery. Such an amount of completely entitled idiotism needs constant and consequential punishment.
