Stalker 2? Or Cyberpunk?
Would love your opinion if you have played both games.

I played about 45 min of Stalker 2 and it has not been bad so far, but already had one crash and spent about 30 minutes watching the shader load screen and have had low fps but playable so far. If I play anymore I wont be in refund window anymore.

Can get Cyperpunk and DLC for cheaper and have never played that, so kind of on the fence about maybe trying that instead and giving Stalker 2 more time in the oven.

The majority of tweaks for optimization is on the CPU side, and that can be handled if the devs talk to Epic about Nanite and Lumen optimizations.

Having the modding community participating in QA testing of sorts and having publicly available data and files would help out the devs a ton in learning what makes UE5 tick.

3 months for optimization? Try this:

Modders already fixed everything, it runs super smooth.

Brooo, why are you asking? Of course Cyberpunk is much better. CP is high-quality product, unlike stalker 2

No it doens't run super smooth, none of these config files fixes optimization, sorry to burst your bubble and you haven't even recommended the best one, out of 6 friends which we shared our thoughts on Stalker and these mods, this one made the game run even worse than vanilla.

as of now, i would go with cyberpunk.

it functions to a reasonable standard now most of the launch bugs have been fixed and the story isn't bad.

With respect to the Stalker 2 devs, You would enjoy the complete experience of Cyberpunk + DLC.

Stalker 2 and Cyberpunk are both great games that are huge open world games. They are very different in style but they are both enjoyable. I would suggest Cyberpunk first since it's been out longer and had it's rough edges polished off. Pick up stalker 2 a little later on down the road.

cyberpunk with the DLC is a phenomenal experience that outclasses Stalker 2 at this moment in time, it's just simply a fact.
It's a complete package that works and there's extensive gameplay that caters to many different playstyles with an awesome story.

this nonsense, somehow people keep repeating this. There's no basis whatsoever for these "estimates". Stop parroting nonsense

Last update for this was today, and you can't burst my bubble cause with it my framerate never drops.

Alright, that I won't take away from you, Myself and my friends we just might be at the worse side of coin but still calling these config mods fixes and that they fix the optimization is really not a great idea, because they do not fix the engine optimization and CPU usage whatsoever, the only thing it might do is make GSC think "well this fixes the optimization problem, now we don't have to bother with it nor touch anything" While they might make framerate and frametime stable, the framerate is still too low for how the game looks and the optimization is still noticibly lacking.
