Stalker 2? Or Cyberpunk?
Would love your opinion if you have played both games.

I played about 45 min of Stalker 2 and it has not been bad so far, but already had one crash and spent about 30 minutes watching the shader load screen and have had low fps but playable so far. If I play anymore I wont be in refund window anymore.

Can get Cyperpunk and DLC for cheaper and have never played that, so kind of on the fence about maybe trying that instead and giving Stalker 2 more time in the oven.

Cyberpunk is by now very polished, runs and looks great, has interesting story and a ton of fun side stories. Let Stalker 2 marinate for a while, it needs more time.

Cyberpunk all the way, people will be biased here.

The second half of stalker 2 is a broken mess right now

Meanwhile, everyone here except 2 guys recommend Cyberpunk.

Truely biased.

I am NOT an old school stalker player. I have watched lots of modded stalker on youtube, but never took the time to set mine up and play. Even though I did buy it on sale.

I love open world survival, but also do not mind a good story driven RPG and I have been keeping my eye on Cyberpunk for a while.

Appreciate all the feedback so far peeps.

I’ve played both and I would say CP2077 all the way. I am a big stalker fan but it’s really hard to recommend the game in this state - there are a lot of visual, sound and even quest breaking/ soft locking bugs in the game a this point - and I have a solid machine. CP2077 now, if you have the rig to run it, is far from the bugfest that stalker 2 is right now. I am playing Stalker Anomaly while I wait for the patch for Stalker 2.

Stalker 2 doesnt stand a chance against CP2077.

Dude, F3 or at least FNV at launch was impossible to play. At least in Stalker 2 you can leave the starting area or further before your first crash.
yeah back in 2010 in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ps3 hardware, what excuse the devs of stalker have 2 ? im pretty sure there isnt any war going on in prague, also didnt hear of ukraine being in a war before 2022

Not defending them man. Just saying.

They are completely different games, I would say right of the bat Cyberpunk is in a better state, technically, than this game. It also has a more interesting world, in my opinion.

However, it can't match the atmosphere or horror aspects of Stalker 2.

The game needs to be tweaked a bit to be really great, but even for what it is right now, Stalker 2 has a lot to offer, especially if you like the creepy, abandoned design of the world and sort of 'slow but interesting' gameplay loop from the first games.

Yeah we don't have war here in Czech, honestly they don't have much excuses other then choosing the worst possible engine for open world which is Unreal Engine but then again, they are the ones who chose it.

yeah sorry if i sounded mad at you xD, but they should have delay this again, fanboys can say whatever they say this game right now is not finished
ive read people saying this is the best open world game of the last 10 years when this game is on par with starfield on how much bland, dead and souless the world is

they know they have a legion of fanboys that will eat up whatever they put out and defend it like their life and honour depends on it

Honestly, the biggest danger you'll face in Prague is choosing the wrong beer or hopping on the wrong tram ...
Fox Tail Nov 28, 2024 @ 4:19pm
Cyberpunk it cheaper sense it on sale now and it actually playable right now. This game needs another 2 years to cook with how buggy it is. It really shouldn't have been released at all in it current state.

True, I myself enjoy some of it, but the lack of life in world, crashes, npc stuck in doors preventing you to move, horrid optimization which makes one of the core mechanic "AIMING" absolute horror to bring down the experience but then again, I knew it was coming once I saw it's on Unreal Engine which I hate to the core of my being yet I've still preordered ultimate edition back in 2021 and I wasn't even mad for them delaying the game and I wouldn't be mad if they delayed it more it's uncoocked and unprepared and I'm not even talking about bugs, optimization and technical state of the game. But srsly in 2024 I can't put red dot on AR416? And more of their gameplay decisions is just horrid and I'm left there asking just WHY?!
