You dont know what A-Life is? My Army Warehouse Gamma Story
For everyone who never played Stalker 1 Gamma or Anomaly (didnt try other) i want to show you with a story i just had what A-Life means and why some of us are so pissed. A good game is where you really experience storys you want to share. So here it is in not so many words, im lazy.

I went with a mixed squad, 2 Loners 2 Duty Fellahs, from Rostok into army Warehouse.
We arrived in army warehouse and met 2 Freedom Member who suddenly fought with one Duty Dude
The Dudy Dude won the fight so i checked him out. He was Master Sgt Something. I checked his Rank on the PDA he was Ranked 30ish.
Well so i went on to the next anomaly field checking my Grizzly Scanner and voila. Some tasty Artefact.
So i started my routine getting into my scientific gear, changing clothes and stuff.
While i did this said duty master sgt was strolling like a real OG next to us into the anomaly field.
Finally i was ready. Glorious. Everything changed. Sun shines, no mutants. Got my Grizzly detector out and boom in your face: no more anomalys.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ OG Master Sgt Something casually walked by me and i read in public chat: "Master Sgt Something: Hey guys i found a new artifact, now i can go home (or along the lines).
I was mad! Pissed! Imaged getting my desert eagly out and headshotting him. but i didnt...stuff like that has consequences in gamma.
While we were moving to the next field some killing messages appeared in public chat showing that my new nemesis is on a killing spree in army warehouses.
BUT paybeck did come in the end. Some psystorm (or was it that other event?) got him while i could wait it out in the freedom base. I met him Zombified. Thats right he was zombiefied!!!! Guess what. In the end i did headshot him and got my artefact (which i lost later in Red Forrest fighting SIN baddasses, loosing half my squad).
Since im playing soul like i respawn in the base which i build in Rostok. I will move back to Red Forrest tomorrow to get my equipment (or whats left) back. The SIN ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hast been marked as taking some of my gear. I will hunt him down.

Well thats a story from Stalker with mod gamma/anomaly. I hope someday we will experience something like that in stalker 2. I doubt it.

Well thats plain wrong. Graphics are freaking amazing in gamma (everyhing maxed on 2560*1440) . And i tried Stalker 2. I was not impressed

there are many graphic mods that really upgrade the game in regards to graphics.

Gamma and Anomaly are built on the foundations of almost a decade of modwork, there were no random PDA messages in the original games, and while squads were moving around dynamically the faction war system only existed in Clear Sky

You're missing out on a lot of great games if you're more worried about graphics than gameplay.

Simply not true. Mods expanded yes but they didnt magically made whole new mechanics. There indeed were meaningless and pointless pda messages originally. the mods just made immersive stuff out of it.

You said you didn't play the original games in your first sentence of your OP. I just replayed the originals, no mods, right before STALKER 2 came out to refresh myself, I can say with certainty that the only PDA messages you got were related to quests, emissions, or achivements.

The entire self-repairing of weapons, cooking, hunting, stash creation, artifact crafting, artifact protection container, etc. systems were all mechanics that were added in mods, so wdym that mods didn't create new mechanics?

It's fine to compare with mods for older games, we just have to understand that the content is from mods and not content that was cut from one game to the next.

Sorry for the confusion. I did play every orginal Stalker 1 unmodded and im fairly sure ive seen this feature in the orginals. Couldnt find it while searching online though. So you might be right.

the upgrade packs are also anomaly/gamma only i dont know what mod but in the main line you upgrade weapons with the mechanic but it cost a pretty penny. Also limb hp like in tarkov there are many features and mechanics that came trough modding and thats with an old ass engine just think what people can do with ue 5 and Stalker 2
