Are weapon upgrades removing other upgrades?

On the GP39 (or G36, whatever) I would install a flash hider, but then my laser and vertical grip would get removed. Anyone else getting issues with this?

Try to install flash hider BEFORE rest of components. And yes i had that bug many times on different guns...annoying af.
EDIT: just make a save before any gun upgrade

Someone on the Nexus forum said that it's a bug in the game that if you install an upgrade and click on it again twice it may get bugged and disappear

I upgraded my viper-5 with both the laser and sight rail, used it with no issues for a good few hours, saved and quit the game and when I came back to play it today after loading my save the sight rail was completely missing and I can no longer mount the sight or re-buy the modification either.

Similar with my M860 Cracker(s) because the magazine upgrade for them keeps disappearing.

Nah you are probably dropping your own by accident when you pick up others off the ground

That would require me to move them into my secondary slot or not notice the gear icon when I sold extras, neither of which I did.

Somewhat offtopic, but during a mission I broke/lost my M860 Cracker - is there any other way to get it, or a comparable shotgun to find?

The flash hider, laser, and foregrip attachments can all be toggled by clicking on them in the upgrade menu. Just make sure you visually see them on the weapon and you will be good to go.

I've looted them off bodies before. The spas12 and the saiga are both really good until you can get a ram-2. The saiga is mag fed and the spas12 is semi auto but reloaded one shell at a time, both aresemi-auto shotguns.

So one of the updates fixed that small problem. You can go back to techs and click on the upgrade to remove and reinstall the parts.
