Spelling mistake? Chornobyl
Isnt it meant to be Chernobyl and not chornobyl. According to the TV documentary I've watched.
I'm trying to get some background on Chernobyl / Chornobyl before buying 😂

Game is made by an Ukrainian studio, so It's pretty natural that they named it their way.

Chornobyl is how it is really pronounced in Ukraine, it's their city.

Chernobyl is Russian/International pronounce. It's a bit weird in the "English" title, but they had reasons. It's not a typo.

Now that Trump is USA’s president, it might not be Chornobyl for long.

Matter of months i'd say?

Not a mistake, since the government of Ukraine made an official request and Washington accepted it, so both Chernobyl and Chornobyl are correct in English now.

Though in my opinion the Chernobyl option would be better due to the reference to the original "Shadow of Chernobyl".

Did Türkiye ask for permission to change it's name???

Nobody asked noone's permission. The city was always called Чорнобиль in Ukraine. Ukraine just requested to use it's proper Ukrainian spelling. The city's name hasn't changed.

Don't know if Türkiye changed it's name or just asked for proper spelling as well, but they did send a request to the UN and other international organizations to use this spelling. The UN agreed.
