Gun Repair Kit?
I haven't seen anything like this in the game, yet. If it doesn't already exist, what do you think about something like that being added? Some sort of repair kit for doing repairs out in the world. Maybe it could be on the expensive side, or harder to obtain. Or even a craftable item. And allows you to repair a weapon that you find out in the world so that you can use it without having to lug it all the way back to town to repair it first. Maybe it only repairs the weapon to 75% of max condition, or something?

there are no repair kits in game, but you make plenty of cash to repair anything. im sure a mod for all those extra items will be made soon enough. a modder has already made a mutant bounty mod that adds all the tails and eyes and stuff in, its on nexus

Don't see the need really.

If anything I would like to see "cleaning the weapon" at "mini-campsites" to restore like up to 10% since the last cleaning. But the game is fine as it is.

Cool.
Yeah, I figured it didn't exist in-game. And I know I can repair with cash. I have no complaints about that. I was just thinking it might be cool to have an item that allowed you to do some of your own repairs to weapons and armor while out in the world. So that you didn't have to go all the way back to town just to fix up a weapon enough to be usable so that it doesn't jam constantly.

Good idea, or not, I don't see any harm in making a suggestion or asking others what they think of the idea.

Field repair is questionable, but some sort of a cleaning kit could work. Just to keep jamming at a manageable level until you can get it repaired properly.

Yes, that's a great idea. I'd love to be able to make my own campfire, and sit down and clean my weapons, and have it restore a bit of durability. That would be awesome. And it would add a lot to the immersion.

I didn't make my suggestion because I feel that it is needed. But it's something that I would welcome if it were added.

I like the campfire idea. Would be cool if you could make your own fire, even if it didn't allow weapon cleaning. But allowed some sort of Rested buff or a way to cook some food that gives bonuses or something. Not sure exactly. I would definitely add to the immersion though.

That's exactly what I mean. A way to fix up a gun just enough to be usable. Almost every weapon I find is so badly damaged that it's practically unusable due to the constant jamming. Which doesn't make a whole lot of sense, as the person I got it off of was just using it with no issues when they were shooting it at me. =P

The economy is so busted for repair costs it's like the devs were intending an Anomaly-like repair system and then just...

...Stopped.

And left the economy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ busted behind them.

the jamming is a cool feature. forces you to grind them credits and repair, or pray it does not jam when you fighting them bloodsuckers xD but cool idea.

Are we meant to upgrade one weapon and keep it repaired or just replace it whenever we find a better quality one?

So far I don’t have the money to afford 6k to repair

Nope. Weapons and suits (and to some degree artifacts) are the progression in this game. You are meant to always look for new/better ones until the endgame.

I heard the best gun is any scoped AR because you can get easy headshots from distance

Yea there no way you can repair anything you’re right. Repair is only useful to keep guns that are only slightly damaged since it only costs a few hundred then. But even this seems unfeasible in the long run

Money comes easier as you get further into the game. Artifacts sell for more. Ammo sells for more. And jobs from the Traders, and even main quests start giving 5,000-8,000, even 10,000 coupons each.

I do agree that repair costs are very high. I wouldn't mind seeing them lowered, and maybe even for it to be possible to partially repair an item. That way, if you don't have enough cash to fully repair an item, or you just don't want to spend that much money, you could choose to repair the item only partially.

You can get easy head shots from a distance with any scoped weapon in this game.
