Stop Complaining about Stuttering and Lag i run everything on Ultra with old PC
i have a 3 year old computer.

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor (24 CPUs), ~ OC to 4.6GHz

4080 RTX OC

OC=over clocked for those who dont know.

WD Black SN850 1TB M.2 SSD
M.2 2280, PCIe 4.0 x4, NVMe, 7000/5300MB/s read/write (Just for games)

WD Black SN850 500GB M.2 SSD
M.2 2280, PCIe 4.0 x4, NVMe, 7000/4100MB/s read/write For Windows and steam (programs)

ASUS ROG Strix B550-F GAMING Motherboard
AM4, ATX, B550, DDR4, 2x M.2, PCIe 4.0

Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 3600MHz 16GB
4x8GB DDR4 3600MHz

Oled 120 hz TV.

Windows 11 newest version.

Nvidia driver newest version.

i run every thing on Ultra including AA + i stream my game to my computer in the livingroom to play on my 4k 3860 x 2140 resolution or what the resolution is cant remember at the moment. on my tv through Remote play. with 60 - 120 fps.

only time i have stutter or lag is when the game renders the first village Zallysia at night and some times during new zone or basements rendering and inn the middle of emission. but jesus if you cant handle 40-60fps just to pick up a quest and sell and stash or when you go down some stairs in a dark basement or stands still waiting for the emission to end then quit playing and wait a few months as you had to with Cyberepunk and Starfield. its much more important for the Devs to fix the quests and other small glitches. I had no problems with bugs until i went to save zallysia except some hud and waypoint disappearing. i just quick saved my game and hit quick load, problem fixed. or worst case scenario load another save and just do the fight over again and hope it works, your just running around killing stuff anyways so doing 1 fight over again to continue should not be a problem, quick save and hard save is your friend.

if you are having problems with your specs maybe your processor is to slow to take all the information from you Graphics card. cant take a big pipe and at the end put on a smaller one expecting the water to run faster.

you can completely remove the stutter if you turn AA to medium, you dont see much of a difference anyways. if your screen flickers try and change the color RGBr or what the setting is called, or lower brightness or sharpness or contrast. Disable HDR or at least calibrate it with the HDR app in windows.

anyone remember the good old days on World of Warcraft when you went raiding and had 18-20fps if you where lucky, no one complained.

flex spec? everyone is complaining about hardware bugs. i am just saying i have no problem. and yes 3 years old comp is old today, if i offended you with my spec then buy a new comp.

That's when the 4080 came out. Your computer is barely two years old.

UE5 engine came out in 2022, which kind of implies the card is pretty much designed for current day tech. So not to experience problems with an up to date system? Golly!
I have a similar setup with a 4090 and I get about 30% more FPS. The math checks out. I agree with others on Frame Gen though

OP doesn't have the brain capacity to figure that out. Careful you might give them a stroke or aneurysm

I have a similar setup, with a top tier AMD GPU and experience the same issue with Zallysia and basement/new zones. It's not terrible. Just very momentary. Nexus mods have some mods that do help with shader optimization which I feels helps the village load in issues a great deal.
when i bought the comp it had a 3070ti but it did not handle 4k screen well, so i had to buy something else.
create a Engine.ini file an past this in f:\Users\You\AppData\Local\Stalker2\Saved\Config\Windows
i had Copilot type this up an had it add async compute to help with gpu performance an this literally Fixed the LOD pop in an the stutter, plus i get a small boost in 1% lows bec of the async compute an oneframethreadlag which is like how many pre rendered frames do u want to have which also helps with perfromance. give it a try cant say it will work for all but 100% made this game play so much better, an now i can enjoy walkin without having a bush pop up in my face. i also run these steam launch cmds aswell along side with all this.
-USEALLAVAILABLECORES -cpuLoadRebalancing -high -xgeshadercompile
-nothreadtimeout -NoVerifyGC

i also recommend adding game to exploit proteaction an turning off flow control guard, this is known to cause stutter in dx12 titles.

And if we have an Engine ini file already, should be okay to just add this text in right?

I must say this troll post at least put some effort into typing a whole lot of BS into its post before posting it. 0.1 point for effort, -10 for content.

PS. I run Stalker 2 on a toaster, it gives a burnt smell at times but it is otherwise crispy.

Jesus.....how many performance threads will we have until the end of the year, 200, 250? It is so annoying coming here to read news about the game, maybe some tips and tricks, hints how to find artefacts etc but instead again and again: "booh my 4070 is too weak, I only have 155 fps, unplayable game......"
Would be great to have all complaints and rage threads in one folder and the remaining forums concentrates on game-play and story.

cant argue with that.
Game runs ok enough for me. The problem is getting UE crash reports after about 10 minutes of playing.

I stopped reading at "OC=over clocked for those who dont know." wrote this comment and left with a good chuckle.
Gtx 660 here 4k ultra epic settings, HD sky and ultra epic rain with triple times 50 on 240gb 5400fpm gaming hard disk. Oh and forgot to mention I'm playing at 1070p with 4k ultra. No issues for me besides losing ffb on some strongholds
Runs fine on my Nokia 3310
