Chimera or whatever its called impossible?

Got a save point stuck in a swamp where one of these jumps at me. If it doesn't kill me instantly. Which it normaly does. It knocks me over then hits me 2 more times and I die. I eventually gets me while reloading or healing. I have just died over 15 times. Any tips? I'm using saga12 shotgun.

If I am not mistaken I was able to run from it with a bit of overweight. On veteran difficulty.
Also this Chimera and emission is scripted here. You are supposed to run exactly to the quest point. There is no more other shelters you can hide

Thanks, I loaded an older save and got some better gear for this mission. Will try this now.

I dumped like 40 shot gun shells and 300 5.56 on that chimera and it won’t die, or I get killed by the emission. I don’t know if it’s even possible to kill it during that mission. I tried like 10 times and couldn’t do it in time. I even tried special ammo, hollow point 5.56 and slugs, still nothing. I tried to go back after the emission and got teleported across the swamp or something, it was there anymore.

I didn't know you were supposed to run from it. I just killed it when it showed up.

you should actually be near one of the wooden houses when you trigger the chimera. you can simply run into one of the wooden houses and to a window with some distance. the chimera does not follow through the door but stands either next to the door or in front of the window. you can then also knife it if you have enough patience.

you can kill them, but that particular one you are meant to run from it (keep running to objective)

theres literally an acheivement for doing so.

You're not supposed to fight it, just run to the quest marker. It CAN be killed, but it's kind of a waste of time.

ya i know where you are . you in swamp . try to reload to point right before you disable last one . then run as well and use as many energy drinks as possible to get to house. at one point it will allow you to save or save by itself. make sure you not get stuck in water . once you get house you basically free. dont fight it you cant . its a scripted event. if you try to kill it you never reach shelter in time and die to emission . you never supposed to kill it . my tip do 1st psi disable in chruch , 2nd closest to you , then 3rd one is where you have controller. after controller you do last psi disable. if you do it this way you basically 200 meters away from safe spot . just make sure you no dropping into water . there is a path lead you to house without slowing you down .you need to have at least 3-4 energy drinks to make it , alos make sure you only at yellow weight or else you cant run well .
is has one of hardest play to walk in the game . i never going to comeback there again unless a main quest send me there but i am assume it wont . btw on way back if you go to right side of map i got legendary artifact with max endurance

You need to run away from the Chimera in the swamp. You won't be able to kill it. I had to reload back a bit, clear my inventory so I wasn't weighed down and just run non-stop to the objective.

ya once you in the house . you walking to back of house and outside and you on top of shelter and then yo basically safe . but you still have to track over 1.1k away from swamp good thing it doesnt chase you . so its a chill way back i explored alot before leaving swamp.

Yeah chimera are absurdly tanky, in most cases you are best running from them it certainly is possible as the one your talking about is a scripted spawn for it and I did it (stick to the planks you’ll move a little quicker) maybe you made a bad save point happens to the best of us so when you get knocked down hammer that HealthKit button to give yourself a chance, but I do agree they’re a little too tanky also, I get that in lore they’re meant to be (skin is exceptionally tough to penetrate and they have extra organs in case they first set is damaged) but they can take hundreds of bullets

I had one spawn on me along with a squad of bandits right after exiting CIRCAA

After dying 10 times I finally found something to climb on top of, then it bugged out and went stationary. It took over 50 near point blank shotgun headshots on STALKER difficulty to finally die LOL

Haha yeah those things are on a whole other level compared to Chimera(health-wise at least). Thankfully they don't jump like them though.

OG gaming tip, always make 2 savegames, overwrite the older one first in case this happens.

Another solution for your case might be to temporarily lower the difficulty to get away at least

If you are not fast enough you are carrying too much. Make yourself lite as possible and drink energy drinks
