Which Technicians can upgrade what gear?

Has anyone made a list for this? Getting a bit tired of trying to upgrade my gear, spending K to move from base to base only to find out that NO ONE can upgrade it.

Yaniv station tech will upgrade most gear, the one north of Yaniv (Later in the story) can also upgrade most gear. The Duty tech south of the cooling towers, aswell as the techs in malachite and the ward main base are both high level. Rostok one is also decently high.

You can mostly ignore the rest.

I think you need blueprints to upgrade some parts.

Timely thread, because my plan during next session is to get the Saiga. Can it be upgraded by Screw or other techs not in Jupiter? Anyone know?

Can be upgraded before going north of Yaniv, atleast i recall doing so as the Saiga was my main shotgun by the time i went north. But ill check really quickly.

I know about the blueprint thing - this is just basic upgrades to some gear that does not have the little 'you need a blueprint' icon. Mainly my suit and my shotty... I'll check the later techs when I get there I suppose... I still haven't made it to SIRCAA yet. (though I DID finally get that damn scanner from the stupid Ad Astra mission).

After scouring the zone up and down, the only place i cant visit is the Ward base, so Saiga can only be properly upgraded in Pripyat, north of Yaniv.

Try Yaniv i think the tech there can upgrade it too, not sure how far.

Thanks for checking, but what you wrote seems to suggest you cannot even upgrade it at Yanov station?

I'm asking because I have enough money to buy it, but not upgrade it at the moment.

My bad try Yaniv, i think the tech there can upgrade it too, not sure how far.
Just checked she can fully upgrade Saiga.

I read another thread a couple days ago that said it's tied to story progression, at some point all the traders start being able to upgrade higher end equipment.

False, as i just checked, each tech has their own upgrade capacities, traders will sell better gear but only to a certain point. There's traders/techs that are just better.

OK thanks. But what I really want is to go to Jupiter, buy it, and have Screw upgrade it when I get the cash. Anyway, thanks for the information mate.
