Legendary Artefacts... Do they work?
So far I've only collected the Canteen in the fog anomaly or whatever that resetting house puzzle is.

The item gives the impression that it negates hunger (wand thirst? is there thirst in the game?) but that it may come at a cost because "anomalies".

Anyway, I had the artefact on me for a while, but I still needed to eat regularly, no idea whether it was actually doing anything.

So I forgot about it. Then at one point I started feeling tired, which was strange because that had never happened organically in the game for me, it only happened before when I was doing the arena quest line. So I started chugging energy drinks, but nothing changed, i was still falling asleep and eventually started taking psi damage. Then I just couldn't heal anymore, was miles from a bed, and just died.

It took me about 20 minutes trying to figure out what to do, and whether I could dump all my loot and just run 1 mile to the nearest bed, but then I remembered the artefact. I took it off and the sleepiness went away.

Great. This useless artefact that genuinely did nothing worthwhile despite being hard to find, actually killed me, and made me waste time irl trying to figure out whether the sleep system in game was bugged.

What are these legendary artefacts good for? I just got the one from the fire tornado which apparently stops bleeding, which is cool I guess, but then healing speed is completely tanked, which completely defeats the purpose.

Are these just vendor trash? Anyone in the zone interested in them for a quest?

Amazing story bro. You should write a book.

Dunno. I have the ball which should increase wound resistance and the blue flower, which should improve stealth. I wear them just cause i have nothing better, but can't see any difference otherwise. I still bleed in one or two hits, and stealth is so janky it's impossible to tell if anything changed.

I'm thinking more of a visual novel. Contacting my Artist right now. Should be out by Q2 2025. Pre-order yours now.

I just found a legendary called The Compass. Physical protection maximum, radiation maximum. I've equipped it in the left slot and not accumulating any radiation with two medium anti-rads equipped along side it and some anti-rad bonuses from gear. Seems like a good find. Located in Chemical Plant region. Time will tell how effective it is.

The ball reduces damage from physical attacks when you're stood still, it doesn't do anything for bleed chance.

The flower applies a stealth buff when you sleep while wearing it, that slowly wears off over time and can't be applied again until it recharged.

As for other artefacts:

The bolt protects you from anomalies for a short while/about 3 hits, but needs an emission to recharge

The water gives you incredible radiation resistance and recovery, and 40kg more carry weight, but makes your camera sway

I haven't tested the pot enough to figure out what that does and what the drawbacks are though.
