Mutant Loot Mod out now
https://www.nexusmods.com/stalker2heartofchornobyl/mods/389

Restores cut in-game assets. This might help mitigate losses and perhaps make mutant hunt missions more worthwhile. Thought I would signal boost this here.

nice one, but i dont understand, why "modders" litterly do better in 1 week than the Devs who get paid and work for a decade on the game.
These whiners are just the greatest.

Mod hunting was barely a thing in the original and removed from the rest unless modded back in because it was pointless and utterly opposed to the core concept of the game.

Now we have whiners already whining about how repairs, etc, are too expensive. The solution to which is STOP WASTING TIME KILLING MUTANTS.

Now we're celebrating a mod that re-introduces a requirement to run around killing mutants.

Babies. It's babies all the way down.

You mean how it is estabilished in the lore that scientist study mutant specimens as part of their research into the zone?
Or how Trapper has made a living in the zone hunting mutants?
Or how bad game design means incentivizing players to actively avoid engaging with content you put into the game?

The biggest whiner here is you, teetotaller.

At this rate they should just hire the modders because it's clear they aren't fit for the job of their own game they made. Or I should say 'generated' with Unreal Engine, lmao.

Modders are simply modifying what is there. Devs create what the modders are using, the two aren't the same. However, a good portion of those modders are likely much better versed in how to properly use the UE5 engine. So it wouldn't be a bad thing to seek guidance sometimes.

Why even make a new game when you don't implement new stuff and even downgrade everything. All I hear is people coping like "The old games didn't have that neither". You would all hate companies like Ubisoft if they did that, but here its suddenly a 10/10 GOTY for no innovation and actually going backwards in some areas, plus the bad Ai and missing A-Life.

Hopefully modders will turn the game to something special in the future. Because right now it's just a casual wannabe hardcore shooter.

So, what made the old Stalkers different except "bad Ai and missing A-Life"? Please elaborate.

Because Devs run out of manpower before mods are allowed to touch it.

What I really love about modding this time around is they have a fan-friendly studio on their side who will in all likelyhood incorporate QoL goodies into the expansions like they did with the original stalker series.

None of them would want to move to Ukraine.

But on the matter of software development, online connections works just fine, people use github for a reason.

GSC is a Ukrainian developer HQ'ed in Cyprus, not Ukraine.

It funny to me how AI in this game is actually worse then the AI in previous games. Other games AI would actually use cover at-least and retreat creating level of unsureness as to were they were exactly. Here the AI just comes at you in a single filed line like some brain dead zombie programmed to go from point A to B while shooting any thing that flagged as an enemy to them in the process. Also fact that Mutant difficulty is just them knocking you on your ass and trying to kill you before you can get back up and being literally bullet tanks is a joke, some of these mutants actually take over 500 to 1000 bullets to kill they actually aren't even worth fighting. Also fact that grenades are completely useless in this game, they bounce around like ping pong balls so having them land were you want is pure aids, plus again AI just walks at you in straight line so it rare you'll ever need them, and when you do hit the enemy with them you need like 5 to kill even the weakest enemy with them. There a lot in this game that poorly designed and poorly polished and needs so much work. Honestly I'm getting at 30 hour point and I'm finding I don't even enjoy the combat in this game, in fact I find I just avoid combat completely if I can sense 9 times out of 10 the combat just not rewarding and feels like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ half the time. I feel like this game should be called Death Stranding 2 not Stalker 2.
