If you finish the main quest, the game throw you to cast screen and than to the MAIN MENU…

If you want to enjoy the open world!!! DO NOT AND I SAY AGAIN!!! DO NOT FINISH THE MAIN QUEST LINE…. THE GAME WILL END!!

-You can’t join a faction.
-You can’t take over territory for your faction.
-You can’t progress your reputation.
-AI/NPC don’t progress with you. At MID game the game will be super easy because the NPCs are still running around with double barrel shotgun like the first level… EASY KILLS..
-The world is not dynamic, factions won’t take over other territories.
-SIDE QUEST doesn’t mean anything to you after you find out that you can’t join any faction…

Most people in the Stalker community before the GAMMA/Anomaly booms, did in fact hate Clear Sky.

Of the 3, ShOC is constantly touted as a masterpiece of jank and storytelling, and CoP usually as the best gameplay, with CS thrown usually as the least liked but with some interesting mechanics.

Can 100% back up this claim as I was there near launch and that game was a buggy mess, the best feature about that game was the faction systems, but on release it was broken and much much worse then the state this game launched in.

I personally do like CS but it was the least liked of the 3 for good reason.

I've also updated that comment with more in-depth explanation. It's worth noting that CS is my second favourite game, but there's a reason it's disliked.

No, join. For example: If you do the missions to join Freedom, it literally gives you Freedom allegiance and makes all their enemies hostile. Mercenaries and bandits will also become neutral to you because, surprise, they're neutral to Freedom, your new faction.

Wrong, again, the closest you could get to "joining" a faction was Freedom in SoC. Which you could only get through a VERY specific set of requirements. ONE faction that you can "join". What does this include? Duty hates you. Mercenaries & bandits are now neutral and the Ecologists become an enemy. WOW SUCH FACTION. I'm definitely a part of them now.

The only game you can join factions without mods or a weird bug, is Clear Sky.

In ShOC you and CoP you can do odd jobs and tasks for factions to assert control for them to further your own ends, but you can't join one. Except the Freedom bug.

Your insistence on this while acting like other people aren't true fans, is hilarious. Just because you interpret working for a faction until you piss off their enemies as joining the faction, doesn't mean that's what it actually is. TIL if you work for the military, you actually join them. BRB, gonna go demand my badge from the police force for that time I helped them with an investigation and pissed off the guys who don't like the police!

MC is a smuggler that blown his own house with a defective artifact and then his "big money biz" in the Zone went haywire. He has no motivations or moral standing for joining any of factions. And he won't. A lot of side quest NPCs can be shot in the face without any consequences.

Do you know the roadmap that the devs have or don't have?
nobody knows if factions won't come with an update when the spawning is fixed... the devs don't put any barriers in our way and the game is modable.
so the reasons beyond factions... maybe you just like the story and the stories in the side quests. maybe you're not yet an ignorant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who has to get through everything quickly and can't enjoy anything? but maybe also because you're interested in ukraine and chernobyl where a game about it and exploring it is just super fun.

I was just about to say this, the reviews of the original release were abysmal, only after the steam version and the more recent xbox version did reviews become more positive.
