Where is the Minimap?
Why don't we have a Minimap, like in previous games? It would be much easier to navigate, now I have to open the map every few minutes and it's tiring.

I do wish that the map didn't have the PDA opening animation. Its get tiresome really quickly.
Agreed, a mini map would be nice

lazy? you can track everything and use the compass. i mean how hard is it to follow a waypoint.

Be cool if you could pull out the pda like a detector so its in your left hand while holding a sidearm so you can check the map while moving.

A minimap with compass on it similar to older stalker games/mods would be perfect.

I'm conflicted about that. I deactivated the minimap in Cyberpunk (because it was WAY too spoilerish in combat) and I started loving it. While harder at first I learned to navigate the city without it - and combat becomes more intense without knowing the locations of the enemy.

If we get one one day I hope it only shows the area - not enemies and other things (stashes, anomalies). Or at the very least be highly configurable...

The compass in game now shows everything I need to know without taking up space screen. I need that space screen for my Steam Deck.

The feature of minimap I miss the most is quick friend or foe identification in combat, way too often I walk into battle and have no idea who is on my side because those new armour designs dont make them stand out.

With minimap you immediatelly saw red, green, yellow dots and knew "oh these are my dudes"

Yeah no on the minimap. Maybe as a toggle in settings. Would be nice to have toggle to remove your location from the map too.

I think by default they should disable the compass and threat indicator too. The game is way better when you don't look at them but instead observe your surroundings.

Let the minimap be optional, whoever doesn't want it shouldn't look at it. But there are those of us who will find it helpful in navigation. I don't care how you play Cyberpunk, you play however you want.

THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDED :(

Mods.

I think the reason there is no minimap could be related to the spawning-in AI and subsequent CPU performance issues.
Because if there was a minimap that worked like in the first games, you would clearly see enemies/friendlies just spawning near you and it would hurt the immersion.
That being said - I think the Skyrim compass is not suited for this game at all and I too want minimap.

How about the fact we get no binoculars either. If I could see far away stuff easier, I wouldn't need a minimap.
