Okay, well at least I'm not the only one. I'm still getting it for now. I just turn down my brightness when I have to walk away. I feel like I shouldn't have to do that though lol
me either. I use a Asus VG248QE, one of the very first 144hz displays to be available
I had the ghosting effect when I was in Sircaa mission for a short time, exiting to game menu and continue fixed it, it looked like Ambient Occlusion was just bugging out, not anything to do with the screen
Screen burn is also a very bad habit of oled monitors. Regardless of what manufacturers tell you.
If you take a look at monitor and tv reviews from places like rtings.com or the like, you'll see that oled especially has a habit of suffering burn in.
Mini led monitors however very rarely suffer the same fate because they don't use organic materials which are prone to degradation from static images displayed for long periods; however, they may still experience temporary image retention in certain situations.
Take a look at your monitor number and then do a review search and a reddit search for user reviews including the words burn in or image retention. You'll find that nearly everything has the ability to do so. I've had to repair an unknown amount of monitors in my life to know that this is basically an issue for every single monitor out.
Might be some flashy color videos on youtube (Plasma OLED Screen Burn Fix) to help lessen the result? Might be other ways to help lessen/fix it?
