Low on FRAMES, do this one simple thing to fix it, PLEASE
DON't use DLSS, switch to FSR and then also turn on frame generation in graphics options. It's FSR 3.1 so it will work with all GPUs.

Next, might as well set the FSR to max resolution instead of the balanced or quality crap. Then RESTART.

Give it a test in game and if you have doubled in frames like I have, then you can choose to raise your graphics options from low or medium to high, like i did. Everything works a dream now.

Let me know if this also works for you?

My game feel heavy with FG,i have a delay on every move.

In this game FSR framge gen works with dlss too so I don't see a point in switching to fsr upscaling

Do you get good frames with frame gen using DLSS? I'm curious whether I should go back to DLSS with frame gen on, as I never tried that. DLSS without frame gen was a nightmare for me.

Ok, I just tried with DLSS and with everything else i just mentioned and using frame generation and there is no issue. I think ppl are complaining because they don't know about this fix...

Final correction, use TAA and then frame gen XD, perfect

The input lag gets worse if your CPU can't keep up with the workload basically, when you enter certain regions or busy areas you notice you start rubberbanding because the CPU got bogged down again. I'd suggest mods to basically lower your CPU usage through tuning or disabling things you don't care about.

Try this.

1. Go to this directory: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Stalker2\Saved\Config\Windows

2. Open up the GameUserSettings.ini

3. Go to the bottom of the file, paste the following line "bEnableMouseSmoothing=False" and press Ctrl+S to save the file.

yea, FSR gives me more frames immediately and thats even without using FrameGen. Using 3080, R7 5800x and 32 RAM on 1440p, everything on Epic. The only problem is it still makes the game look blurry as if i have motion blur on which i dont.

And why does game look so bad without any upscaling??

I did notice more lag, like a motion blur which makes it harder to aim. I guess this is the downside to using frame gen.

Try the above fix in post #8, it worked for me.

Your loss.

BIOS updates actually do help - especially if your mobo is years old.
