Why do zombies look and act nothing like zombies.
What's the point of adding "zombies" into a game if they can shoot guns and look no different than normal stalkers? The zombies seem completely pointless imo.

Stalker PRE-DATES the zombie craze ushered in with left for dead going Big. So..... considering the lore of these guys are brained fried controlled people by a 3rd power, whats the problem? Or short answer, they are not zombies from some sort of mystery virus, but brain scorched people with things mention ALL the game this thing called the Brain Scorcher.

The problem of stalker 2 zombies is they are not as scary as original trilogy zombies. The original zombies are twisted, weathered, and sad. Even from clear sky zombie having same model, they have not shaved, look creepy and mad

But you can only kill them with a headshot.

For brain damaged, mindless husks these "Zombies" sure have incredible accuracy.
100% a bit ridiculous in my opinion. As well as animals opening doors.. idk the design choices in the game completely contradict one another. Like in some aspects they’re all about realism and yet in others they go out of their way to break realism.

The fact you call those things "animals" made me laugh. They're not animals.
Btw, many dogs and cats knows how to open doors and simple locks.

They're not zombies in the undead sense, they're zombies in the braindead, essentially lobotomy patient sense. They retain muscle memory but no higher thought functions.

They're mind-broken Stalkers who got too much psi-radiation :cozybrawlhalla2:

If a psydog does like your everyday dog my friend or you are a jester or you have a serious problem.

I don't know. Some really creep me out when you get close enough to them without them aggroing and you hear some of the stuff they mumble.

The one I passed by was mumbling "just a little further and I'll make it", again and again. I just felt crappy as I thought "sorry bro, you didn't make it".

Or when you notice a stalker become a zombie right in front of you. Was fighting in one of the buildings in Prypiat, and there was a controller that as well as two opposing forces. I watched at least 3 different guys fall and rise back up as controller puppets right while dealing with all the ones that were all ready zombies, or just plain hostile due to being Monolithians. Was actually pretty scary, as I knew one lucky psy pull from the controller while low health, and I'd be a damn zombie.

They definitely have the creep factor and some horror to them. Its just more psychological than visceral. You might not even notice it if gunning down everything on sight, but if you do some stalking you will notice some creepy, sad, strange, and downright depressing elements to the zombies.

Do people not bother to understand a games lore before they post things like this? They are not zombies in the traditional sense as in "undead" and there is a reason they have guns and still can shoot them.

Others have already explained that they are more like husks that have no emotion, no memory, and are acting on their most basic instinct, that being to kill anything/anyone they come across.

I am pretty sure the majority people on here haven't played the original games and don't know much about the whole lore of the Zone. Or they just forgot because it's been awhile since those games were released

i played stalker 1 - clear sky - call of pripyat and stalker 2 and never saw a zombie. do you talk about the mindless stalker? ah how many zombie movies did you see? there are thousands and they are all different - they act different and they look different and even sound different. what is your point? what zombie do you wish to have. we will find a game for you.

You basically just described the old zombie without make up

Zombified Stalkers do actually have memories of their past human lives. There's an unsettling voiceline in the original game of a zombified Stalker talking to his daughter.
