Best assault rifle in the game

Lavina is passable but it has much lower starting ammo and also very limited sights selection compared to other 2

Stats wise. The Dnipro is the best assault rifle.

It has 1.2 for damage and 3 for penetration.

Next up. AKM-74S has 1.2 DAM and 1.1 PEN.

If you want full auto close range. The Bucket S-2 has 1.3 DAM and 2.1 PEN.

This is based only on stats and does not take into account actual handling. I have not played will all the guns enough to really tell.

I am still using the scoped AK you get in the beginning. I added a silencer, grenade launcher, and an extended mag.

I just use it as a battle rifle. It has the same scope as an SVD but is more versatile and ammo is plentiful.

If anyone gets too close. Saiga.

Honestly. Do the story missions until you get the saiga. Repair it and it will be your best friend.

Sorry. Bucket is the sub machine gun based on the scorpion. I know it's not an assault rifle but if you want full auto by the stats.

Yeah good point. Stats-wise maybe the Lavina comes up a touch short, but it's close. Two other factors, which I take in to consideration that others may not, are weight and aesthetics. Bullpup rifles look goofy, and the other one looks too cumbersome or something. The Lavina has the right aesthetics for the zone, based on VIntar it appears.

So whilst the Lavina might not be the best when numbers are crunched, it's close, and then is lighter and looks the part more than the other two. All will serve you well.

The Lullaby, (Ultimate Edition), with integral silencer is the best I've found so far. It has very low to non-existent recoil and can auto-fired 3-4 round burst into enemy heads easily, using the AGOG optic.

im old school so i went with the 416 with silencer, ACOG from the poppy field and the RAM-2 for mutant control, AP ammo in the 416 and buckshot in the RAM, 416 upgrades favour armour pen and flatness.

Edit- i use single fire and not auto on the 416, it cant hit the ground if it was buried in it

automatic fire capabilities is not the "best" option. Its a waste of ammo using that. One bullet at the time or three bullits at the time is the best option.

Hold your firemode button (B by default), also you can open the weapon wheel and activate it, below the headlamp button.
