Carry weight too low
This is becoming an extreme issue for me. I'm not even carrying that much. I've got two artefacts that add extra carry weight (by like 3kg so practically pointless). The map is actually quite large and sprinting for 2 seconds and waiting is getting really tedious now. I can never seem to get out of the yellow even though i'm carrying basic stuff and not anything extra i don't need.

Lowering the weight on my weapons and armour isn't doing much either. And its getting too expensive to constantly upgrade both them and weapons. I think this needs to be looked in to. Maybe lowering the base weight of items a bit more or adding something that increase your carry weight for a fee. Obviously there's a lot of running about in these games and considering the size of the map compared to original games, there needs to be some sort of purchasable weight gain or something. 80kg is too low. (well 83kg for me right now whoop-de-do)

Can you share a picture of your inventory?

if you ever bothered to change and upgrade your armour it can go up to a max of 90kg for your inventory

The problem is in your bag. What do you carry?
Ammikaameri Nov 25, 2024 @ 7:12am
There are armors that you can use to increase the carry weight too. Early game I used an armor with +10% carry weight increase for example.

But to me it seems fine currently, except for the fact that you can get quest items that you cannot drop before having said quests, which will cause you to lose carry weight until you get said quest. Just carry what you need for whatever you are doing.

So carry nothing and make no money or walk slowly everywhere. Great game.

The "trick" is to pack lightly. You don't need 20 breads, 6 bottles of water, 20 magazines for the assault rifle, 60 shotgun shells , 30 magazines for the sidearm ...

Instead try a more reasonable loadout: 4-5 AR magazines, 5 medkits, 10 bandages, 2 clips for the sidarm, 10 shotgun shells. 2 bread, 1 bottle of water.

Normally one finds a lot additional stuff. Just try it out - check what you really needed vs what you had with you.

Stalker 2 has issues, but the encumbrance and stamina feel just right for me. I like having to constantly mind my inventory, and with sprint being the best defense in the game, your survival is tied to how light you travel in a sense. I understand others not liking it, but this for me is one of the best-balanced parts and not something i am looking to mod or change, I like how it works just fine.

the questitems are using extremly much of space. a better inventory management would be a very good thing - hopefully the devs will patch it

since you have infinite space how does that affect your game?
it's mainly the weight, and they don't weigh more than 2 kilograms at max...
only the detektor weighs 12 kilos... and the game even gives you 6 to 10 hercules pills to counter that

@op
just take a weapon, an armor, 90 to 120 shots and maybe 40 for the pistol...
2 water, 5 healthpacks 10 bandages, 3 sausages and you are good.
then you have about 20 kilos packed... and can carry 60 more back home.

actually iam with the story/main quest at a part that i carry 35 kilos only with questitems. my inventory is full itself so that i have to scroll down for see my own things what i have with me.

for information, equipment and ammo myself is not much as all the most weight is generating by the questitems what i not can delete or but them into the stash

Is the carry weight different than in the original games? I haven't started Stalker 2 yet, but I remember getting used to the weight cap in old games and it not being an issue anymore.
