Artifact with a body on a rock in the swamp

I climbed up the rock next to it and then sprint jumped over. There should be a ramp looking part up on the west side if I remember right.

Here's a few thoughts/questions that might help solve the puzzle, since I have not reached that part of the Zone personally yet....

First, and easiest to deal with because those who have been there probably checked- is the body itself lootable? I have encountered a couple of other locations where the detector registered an artifact, and it turned out to be in a corpse's inventory rather than floating around loose.

Next, on the likely assumption that the body isn't lootable or didn't contain it: you have moved around the general area a bit and done 360-degree checks repeatedly? I've found that there is a little bit of "play" in the Bear's precision on both direction and distance, and free-floating artifacts do seem to have a very small distance at which they will pop visible.

Finally, and the most likely non-bug explanation: have you thoroughly checked the surrounding area for entrances to an underground space? Detectors seem to only measure by the X and Y axes, and don't care if you're a hundred meters above or below on Z. There's a similar spot on a hillside in Wild Island, a bit NE of Noontide's base where the Bear will zero in on the artifact, but it's actually in a cavern below whose entrance is a couple hundred meters off.

I realize that the previous posters may have already thought of and covered those angles, but as I said I haven't found that location yet myself so I'm completely reliant on whatever information is in this thread.

{sigh} Well, I tried. That does make it look like it's bugged for the other folks, then. Oh well, maybe the general concepts will help someone else with another location down the road.

IIRC it wasn't a unique artifact, so you could find the same artifact in any appropriate anomaly field.
