Ammo for snipers when or how?

i have about 11 hours im in garbage area doing quest etc, i found a SVD sniper at first 3 hours of gameplay, but i can't found ammo, always same loot, shotgun ammo, pistol or sms, and AK ammo, all traders always same trade 1 bread, beer and heal, and gun shop never especial ammo always the same

They are scarce, i've reached Duty and have probably 50 bullets or less for the sniper, i think you can start buyng them from Duty trader or Rostok, but the price....

The best snipers are supposed to be hard to mantain or keep early game, there is no ammo, unless you kill an NPC with a sniper early game.

I actutally found 2 in scripted quests.. and took their ammo (side quests).

However I can tell you that by progressing the story, you will be able to buy sniper ammo, just keep going

And then again, you don't need a sniper rifle since all enemies spawn at max 50 meters from you.

I wish I could use Vintorez more like in the old games, but there's no ammo for it.

well it's single game and everybody have their own playstyle and test things

I'm sure I've seen them at the duty base. Also I'm pretty certain there is a hidden progression system where traders and npcs will have better gear the farther you advance in the main quests. Either that or you just need to get lucky with the trader stock refresh.

I like using the sniper, even if we don't see past 100-50m, it one shots people most of the time, or if you head shot them! OP weapon for real! I love it

The only time I have actually used a sniper rifle is that Arena fight that forces you to use one.

There is no real long range combat, enemies spawn to close to you to make the powerful scopes effective and it's just generally easier to use shotguns or rifles.

When A life gets fixed, hopefully this will change but at the moment there is almost no point in sniping.

for the moment i play with the inicial AK with scope and shotgun, close range shotgun and mid/long range ak doing headshots, playstile i play like im in Tarkov leaning Q or E and moving slowly for insta headshots

Sniper ammo is end-game top tier stuff. I wouldn't expect you find it anywhere except for
military. Freedom was known for being fans of snipers and kept some but not much.

Sniper is a meme here with this garbage spawn system and an even worse ammo economy.

Just use an AR with an 4x scope.
