i just confirmed what some other comment in a thread about Fatal error! Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x0000000000000000
the guy mentioned that Quiets quest causes that error and he is correct at time of testing this i luckily had a save in the section with the electrigeist before you unpower the item you need and the game launched but loading the save immediately after that where i had handed the item to Sidorovich crashes me to desktop instantly so for the time being DO NOT DO THIS QUEST atleast until the devs can fix it

Can confirm that. After finishing this quest, I can no longer load any save, including manual ones. It sucks losing hours of progress.

Can confirm, crashing if I load a save from after I pick up the Psi Emitter. I can load a save from before just fine.

Not exactly related to crashing, but if you leave midway through the tunnel and come back, the doors are closed and you can not open them again. You're effectively softlocked. So I guess I saved myself not corrupting my file by locking myself out? >.>

I was able to complete this mission, but I'm on linux so idk if maybe the penguin saved me. I got a MASSIVE freeze as I walked up the stairs where everyone (in the other thread) said they got a crash, but after about 8 seconds it woke up and I was able to keep going.

But yeah... in general just don't do that mission. Its not worth the risk and the reward isn't that big lol

This is why I wanted to finish the MAIN PLOT LINE first, because I had 3 quests being glitched and I couldn't finish them, I didn't want to get something like this that would corrupt your total save file...

Same problem here. Wish, I knew this before. Massive freeze on the stairs and then crash during the final fight and locked saves. About 30hours in the game. Ryzen5700X, 32GB RAM, RX7800XT, W11.

I have the same error. After picking up an artifact, on the way back, the game goes to the desktop and all saves from that point are corrupted. The game cannot be loaded. Only from before the tunnel entrance. I checked 2x.

Seems like i´ve lost more than 20hours of gameplay with this bug. I was stupid enough to delete my older savefiles, now i only got saves after i picked that thing up. I tried to get out of the tunnels, met a burer and got killed by him, now all my saves lead to a crash. Trying to check files, then a restart. If this doesnt work i´ll stop playing the game for now until they fix it. What a mess, never had something like that in any game i played.

edit: ok, didnt work, all my saves are screwed, i´ll hope for the patch to fix that, otherwise i have to start a new game after 20hours.....

Same happened to me here, had to start again... I'm the one who spammed this "solution" everywere that the issue was mention at the time, now I load every save done after a mission to check if it happens with others too
