No, you can use AMD's framegen with Nvidia cards.
You will probably turn it of immediately though, as you start to notice how sluggish your aiming gets with it enabled.
here is what I did to have a decent framerate and no stutters
1) follow this guide for the ingame settings

is going to be a mix of medium, high and epic (textures) --> game looks pretty much as when everything is set to epic
2) use this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/stalker2heartofchornobyl/mods/17 to change some game engine config. I have used the settings as it, following the steam steps
3) enable the ingame setting Framegen
